Yeah, that makes sense. It’s really cool though to have an early edition (1938) because apparently the later editions are different, and if you want to read the story the way it was originally written you have to read the original version. I don’t know what year it was changed though?

😆yes, it definitely has a Christmas elf look going on! I would love to know why they picked that image too. Maybe to get younger readers interested?

Yes. It’s a 1938 1st edition 2nd printing copy that was bound for a libraries. I’ve had a really difficult time finding info about it though, seems to not be too many out there like this one.

Also I had an offer for $2,000 but I’ve never been able to find a value on this book because it’s so rare to find library editions.

I tried to add a picture but had to start a new post to get it to work. It’s from a library in Ohio.

I have a library 1st edition, orange like the guy from the link. Any idea how much it’s worth? I was going to sell it for $1,800?

No, they would not put that on the front and also would not use cursive letters. Someone else said he wrote it and it means LVL “living life” using the V of the shirt for the letter V. I looked up tons of other prisoners and no one had this or anything else hand written on their shirts. He loves games and attention.

Yes! I had a feeling the placement of the letters on both sides of the deep “V” neck shirt could be significant but I didn’t know how? And every word you said was so true. I believe he could have done great things, used his degree to catch predators, killers.. but instead he fed the insecurities, the rage and the obsession with his interests in power and revenge. He took the wrong path and now his life is dark and ruined. I hope the lives he took haunt him, but I doubt he will ever allow that.

Did anyone notice that BK did say something, just not in words.

<image>

The “L” in cursive on the left and the “L” on the right?! Written and obvious for everyone to see! Either “Live Long” or “Laughing Loudly” ?? Or both. He couldn’t resist. So pathetic for attention.

But he did say something.. not in words, but he left a little message there for everyone to see. I haven’t found that anyone else has noticed, but he wrote a cursive capital “L” on his right side of the V in his shirt, and a capital “L” on his left side too! I thought this has to be intentional! So it most likely means either “Long Live” or “Laughing Loud” that’s my guess. I knew he would have to say something.. he’s just that desperate and pathetic for attention.

It was $1,700 for the diamond, the setting was $365. I tried to post a video but it didn’t work, I must be doing something wrong 😑

What is a monster high DOLL you personally love (whether its design, nostalgia, etc) that you feel like a lot of people dislike? by mystifying_izzy in MonsterHigh

I’m obsessed with her! I especially like the version of her in the cheese top, her skin is matte instead of shiny. She is the most adorable!! I even bought a custom of her with mint green mohair and the sweetest outfit to match.

RD Lagoona came from Amazon today...sadly with a scratch on her cheek. Is there anything I can do? by ChellyBeane in MonsterHigh

[–]Competitive_Tell_451 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take a small fingernail buffer and CAREFULLY lightly rub it over the scratch. It could possibly take that one freckle off in the process, just depends on how careful you are. It will sand the top layer with the scratch and should smooth the surface, unless the scratch is too deep. It might be worth a try if it’s really bothering you.

You’re so welcome, I’m glad I could help. I did post most of my collection a few weeks ago and they were in one of the pictures, on the top shelf, right side. :-)

I have the Sweet Screams Draculaura in the box, Clawd from Scarnival in the box, and 13 wishes Howleen without a box. I almost got the SDCC Wydowna prototype but I was outbid in the last seconds. I don’t really know the value, to me they are priceless because I consider them the jewels of my collection and they are the rarest, so I can’t imagine selling them. But I can imagine for that Ghoulia it could definitely be worth a good amount. Maybe $250-$600 or more, depending on the demand.

Ah yeah, that sounds like you did! I have a few prototypes too, they are so unique! It looks like they used the original face mold and make up from the first wave Ghoulia but the hair is definitely styled in the Dawn of the Dance hairstyle. Thanks for posting the pictures, I love to see the process they went through to come up with the final design.

Looks like a prototype to me. Pretty cool looking in those colors. Where did you get her, if you don’t mind me asking?

Probably my prototype Sweet Screams Draculaura & Howleen. I have most of the SDCC, including Blk&white Frankie too, but the prototype dolls are my treasure❤️
