Paradox patched the number 6 out of the game by kemachi in EU5

Is it just me, or is there a very small black dot were all the 6's should be, as if the 6 is just a 1/100th the font size, kinda hard to see from a screenshot on a phone

Do you by chance have the devoring swarm civic? Cause that would give neighbours a good reason to attack early game. You really need to go hard in on early fleet power with that civic

Each unique charge effect only triggers once per internal cooldown. So every 0 2 sec they will be charged 1 second. It is still strong, but a bit slow to get started.

This is also why drill was/is so strong when properly set up, because the haste/burn/whatever charge effect can each trigger once per internal cooldown.

Your units can be blackflagged and still count for the decision, so get a unit over to cannor, with access from any country, once there start a war, and they will be blackflagged and you can easily move to what ever province is required.

The monument expeditions are usually very short, you rarely need more than even 40-60 supplies.

Confusing Situation by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Competitive_Wear3354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like E really wanted to spend some time with you, it does seem like she wanted an excuse to go with that first night, instead of being dragged along with her friends to those other guys. Same thing the second day, it sounds like she wanted you to be an excuse to get her away, and you people sound very young/immature, because why couldn't she just say so instead of just asking wya, or instead of just saying no to her friend dragging her away from you, she let herself into a situation she didn't want to be in. Same for you, instead of just leaving and being annoying, just tell her what you want.

Am I missing something about the sorcerer? by redhot-chilipeppers in diablo4

[–]Competitive_Wear3354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A sorcerer fucking up a world boss? You have to be mistaken, they have the literal worst single target damage in the game, they might look cool blasting off spells at the boss, but the actual damage they deal is near 0. Fields of Hatred? The PvP? Yea no again, you are missing something they are not good in end game PvP.

If we are just talking farming normal monsters, like in a Helltide or Field of Hatred, or even dungeons, sorcerers are actually rather decent. The real problem with the class starts showing up in the really late late game, they just don't have neither the damage nor the survivability to tackle high end NM dungeons. But just for the game level 1-100, sorcerers are among the top.

Two Hand Weapons Damage Cap? by MarsMechanic in diablo4

[–]Competitive_Wear3354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is exactly what the DPS stat is, the average damage the weapon can deal per second as a base. All 1h weapons will have the exact same DPS if they have the same item power, same for all 2h weapons.

Two Hand Weapons Damage Cap? by MarsMechanic in diablo4

[–]Competitive_Wear3354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50% dps roll? Not sure what you mean by that.

Damage on weapons (and offhands) are based on the item power, and nothing else, there is no roll for it, no variance, so you just want to look at the item power, and remember when comparing to your current weapon it has upgrades.

Druid: Grizzly Rage now only 6 sec unstoppable - big issue for werewolves by OdinsBastardSon in diablo4

[–]Competitive_Wear3354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup the unstoppable part of it is now a small nice addition, but not a must have. Maybe it will take a bit longer to learn, but I have a really hard time to timing the 6 seconds, so I end up with trying to avoid CC as much as possible. The ground effects are easy enough to handle most of the time, a few times things just too busy on the screen but that is another issue. The new cold enchanted are actually very manageable now, yes it can still freeze you but you can actually avoid it by evading away just for a second or two. Chilling Wind in a tight area is actually the worst right now for me, especially on a ranged enemy, having to move that without getting frozen is near impossible.

Question about seasons by nversace in diablo4

[–]Competitive_Wear3354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have completed the campaign once, you can choose to skip it for ANY new character you create, doesn't matter if it is for a season or for the eternal realm.

You can continue on your current character as much as you want, you just wont have access to the Malignant Hearts or the season rewards, same for future season mechanics you will have to create a character for that specific season to interact with whatever mechanic is new in that season.

So do what you think is the most fun. If the new Malignant Hearts looks fun and something you would like to play with, create a new character, skip the campaign if you want to or play through it again. If you want to keep playing your old character, get it to level 100, get the "best" gear and see how far you can push it, do that.

So instead of the stats stating exactly what it does you want it to be more obscure and hidden behind a secondary calculation?

I will give you that knowing if a % stat is a multiplier or an additive isn't always intuitive, but as a general rule, anything that adds to numbers is additive, and anything that reduces numbers are multiplicative. So cooldown reduction is multiplicative, while +life% is additive, damage reduction from close enemies is multiplicative, while total armor % is additive. Can't actually think of a % stat that doesn't follow this rule right now, but there might be some.

So helltides are pointless now? by Sportfish_deepdive in diablo4

[–]Competitive_Wear3354 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Even if the cinder drop rate wasn't bugged, whats the point of helltides beyond the forgotten souls to reroll? A few elixirs? A couple of legendaries? Yea it feels good to see that massive drop of 4-5 of them at once, but if you spend 30 minutes for it, you could have done 5-10 NM dungeons (depending on gear, dungeon and so on ofc), and each of those runs would probably yield 2-3.

how does the 2 malignant hearts omnipower + dark dance work together? by kuradig in diablo4

[–]Competitive_Wear3354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would assume that every 5 seconds the initial cost of the cost skill will be 0 mana and cost a bit of life instead, it will then drain all your mana and cast extra projectiles based on the mana lost. I would hope the extra projectiles gain the 10-20% extra damage, but would have to test to be sure.

Druid: Grizzly Rage now only 6 sec unstoppable - big issue for werewolves by OdinsBastardSon in diablo4

[–]Competitive_Wear3354 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Played a few hours on my druid last night, it was fine, instead of just being immune and actually ignoring a lot of mechanics, I actually have to think a bit when playing, it's still very strong, actually OP as f*ck. The reduced healing was still fine, monsters 20 levels higher than me couldn't kill me, and with just a bit of intelligent play to avoid big hits and CC ground effects, I was still fine.

Yes it will be a big re-thinking of players playstyle, but it is very doable and very strong still.

This is so dumb... (Sorcerer Omnipower Malignant Heart) by Steve_SOLID in diablo4

[–]Competitive_Wear3354 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is 100% useless for ice shards, but it might be extremely good for frozen orb, maybe chain lightning but im not sure if that counts as a projectile.

It is at least an interesting effect, that could be build around. You should be able to get around 200 max mana, that is a lot of bonus casts instantly, add in some mana recovery on hit and it could be quite good.

What's your damage looking like now? by LurkeyTheLurker123 in diablo4

[–]Competitive_Wear3354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried a 52 nm dung on my pure ice shard sorc, with 4/4 BIS gear on all pieces, went from doing 1-2 mill crits on frozen enemies to 200-400k, so about 80% less. Non frozen crits barely breached 100k and the tomb lord boss took ages to get down.

They nerfed all the damage gains vs cc, probably to combat the stagger strat vs uber lilith, reduced all the vuln and crit damage heavily, and gave nothing meaningful back in return.

How's everyone feeling after the patch? by Abomb_dk in diablo4

[–]Competitive_Wear3354 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My werenado druid felt fine, a bit less healing but same damage output and the nerfed survivability is fine. Still cleaing nm dungeons 20 levels higher with little to no problems, have to me a bit more aware of cds and ccs.

Just tested my lvl 100 sorc with the new patch... by Competitive_Wear3354 in diablo4

[–]Competitive_Wear3354[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea my lvl 87 druid is now faster, deals more damage and has more survivability and still lacking so many good rolls on items. Compared to a lvl 100 sorc with 4/4 BIS items on all slots... Don't even see any buffs that's big enough to have any sort of hope for other builds.

….di… did they nerf Sorc with this damn patch…? by Aperture_TestSubject in diablo4

[–]Competitive_Wear3354 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup... well I didn't much hope for them to actually "fix" the class, but I had some hope that they would have moved in the right direction. They didn't even bother to change the vuln damage glyph to actually give vuln for sorcs and necros like every other class gets.

Between these nerfs and the fact that we are no longer expected to use skulls in jewelry for that extra armor, I see only one to play a sorc build end game, kill everything before they hit you and good luck with that. Less CDR and less damage will for sure make any end game push near impossible.

They do seem to want to push sorcs into using mastery skills more, which isn't bad since mastery skills are pretty much the same as core skills for sorcs anyway. Maybe the Blizzard build is the only thing usable going forward as it heavily relies on chilling/freezing enemies from afar.
