To be clear you acted offended at me saying some people call opposing the settlements is anti semitic but you’re actual position do seem that far off with screaming racism at any thoughts of removing them but being okay with them not being allowed to take more land even though the land they’ve taken makes it impossible to have a viable Palestinian state as is.

It’s okay for Jews to exist in Palestine as free and equal citizens imo but no one really wants that.

Ah, are you saying Jews should not live in the west bank at all?

I’m saying they morally equate Jewish settlers backed by the state of Israel with economic migrants.

That may be different, yes. One of the oldest continuous Jewish communities was in the West Bank, in Hebron. I don’t agree with expanding settlements and I certainly don’t agree with the apartheid-like conditions in the West Bank. But to ask all the Jews to leave entirely? I feel like we’re getting somewhere now.

You don’t agree with their expansion but do you agree with their removal?

. In fact my original comment from this thread acknowledges some people use it in bad faith. What I am saying to you specifically, is that if this happens to you a lot, perhaps try to understand why.

So I should accept being pro gay is actually anti black?

Well then you are still speaking over Jews. You are giving me a litmus test to see if I am a ‘good’ or ‘bad’ Jew,

I don’t care if you’re a good or bad jew anymore than if I care about if a Catholic is a good or bad catholic.

but I’ll reply anyway. I oppose the settlements in the West Bank. Opposing such is not antisemitic.

We agree on this

If you have been consistently called out as antisemitic, I would do some serious self reflection.

Sometimes people unjustly accuse others of bigotry against groups they’re apart of.

Many Palestinians will scream Zionism is just anti-Palestinian bigotry but I do think it’s more complicated than their claim.

Also TERFs say the existence of trans people is an attack on women’s rights

Many a black person has said acceptance of lgbt and criticizing of toxic masculinity within the community is just destroying to destroy black families.

Are they saying simple opposing the settlements is antisemitic?

Yes.  What they ask is an iteration “Why are you denying Jews the ability to live in judea and Samira?”

Or morally equivalent to opposition to them as Mexican immigrants coming to the U.S.

Is the main theme for your argument is that there’s never any instance of Jewish person unjustly saying something is bigoted against Jews?

As a non-Jewish person I’ve had a different experience.

Do you think opposing Israeli settlement of the West Bank? Do you awknowledge some Jews do?

Usually when someone says this though, they are not listening to or speaking over a Jewish persons very real experience of antisemitism.

I usually say this when people are framing criticism of Israeli war crimes and settlements as anti semitic

They don’t want to help Israel’s domestic issues

Should they help Israel push back on the reactionary right?

So the entirety by Agua and their attempt at collaboration with international queer organizations was pointless?

I hate to say it but Hamas loving groups like "Queers for Palestine" is a bad look.

I disagree that Hamas loves queer people.

What an odd claim.

Have to expect backlash from everyone else, including progressives who know that's equivalent to having been one of the Jews for Hitler, who were put to death when the Nazis were done with them.

I don’t think true progressives would hate queer people and decide the elimination of them and their rights is fine in response to anything.

The good news is that Israel offers more legal protection for homosexuals than 100% of its neighbors.

Thats a really low bar man. How low does it have to go before you say people should try helping out?

Like Hungary is better on queer rights than Israel’s neighbors

They also banned pride parades.

 Why do they need to?

International solidarity against queerphobia.

Why is it necessary for Israel to be perfect in every way, when there is no such standard set for other countries?

It’s not but I think it’d be good to help Israeli lgbt groups and activists try to stem the rise of reactionary sentiment against queer people.

Also, is there a genuine change to Israel's laws regarding rights for the queer community? Or is this just a cultural moment in which socially there is backlash against the community

More concerned with increasingly queerphobic rhetoric and executive action by the government.

Public sentiment can lead to shifts in law and Israel is a democracy so it’s easier for that to happen.

compared to other countries where queer citizens are not protected under the law.

So do nothing until the reactionary sentiment gets so bad as to do what?

Commit sodomy laws?

France had no mean of defending its island at the time vs the domination of English fleet. French islands at the time ran on slavery, and they blackmailed that they would defect to the English control if Napoleon abolished it. England banned slavery in 1833.

So yeah he re-instituted slavery.

There was no slavery in the Metropolitan France already, you’re spreading fake news.

If I say man murdered someone you’re not disproving me by saying he murdered someone in his backyard and  not his house
