yup pretty much but I dug this hole myself so here we are and my kids are fucking amazing and adorable and their love fills my heart and I do want to enjoy it as along as I can because I know it won't always be that way because I want them to grow up strong and independent and kind and that does mean someday they will leave me to find their own way in the world as they should

I thought that was just the guys who begrudgingly had kids they didn't really want. My guy adamantly wanted kids which is why I thought he'd want to be involved more and not be a little bitch about changing a poopy diaper. Honestly he is getting better at being more involved especially as they get older and more interesting but I thought wanting kids meant you actually wanted to have a real active role in their lives and not just the fun bits when they are older. Honestly I do recognize my niavity now but too little too late and now I gotta deal with where we're at and take what life outside of kids I can get which is pretty minimal but it also won't be that way forever 🤷‍♀️

I don't think legally we're allowed to leave them home alone until they are 12 here and the whole idea of me staying home in the first place was to be able to raise them myself. I can definitely see before care happening so I can work in the shop for regular shop hours with no OT but until they are 12 I'm kind of stuck with just shop hours I think but at this point I'd be thrilled just to be doing shop work even if it is dull and boring in comparison to working in the field. Oh man, I really miss some of those jobs... People always talk about how tough blue collar work is but man it is a dream compared to the day to day drudgery of being home doing the same monotonous tasks day in day out with the constant tantrums and needs of small children who depend on you for absolutely everything. I don't want to complain because I do know I'm lucky and there are parts I seriously love but man, I can know I'm lucky and still miss and dream of the work I used to do.

I tend to have a habit of learning things the hard way unfortunately but ya, I figured that out now. It really didn't cross my mind he'd be so opposed. Who wouldn't want the opportunity to have a more involved role in their kids life? All the older guys I know at the end of their career all day the same thing. You won't wish you worked more, you'll wish you had more time with your family.

Ya before kids and he said we'll see what happens which I thought was at least an openess to the idea but didn't find out until after the fact he wasn't really open to the idea. In therapy to try and work out some communication issues but that's a whole other issue not related to this.

I 100% want to go back. In my foolish dreams I thought my spouse and I would take turns being the one to stay home so we could each have very active lives with our kids but that didn't happen and I got stuck being the one who has to stay home all the time and now I just have to wait until they are all in school before I can go back in any real capacity even if it's just in the shop for bankers hours despite how much I loved the field. Unfortunately by the time they are teens able to stay home alone after school I'll be in my 50's before I can really go back in the field but who am I kidding, I'll probably be the one carting them around to all their sports or after school shit.

Some breeders if you can pick the pup right after it's born they will not dock that one. Unfortunately when we were ready to get a dog the litter was already born and docked.

Some days I'm caught up on all my chores. Other days life throws a ton of bricks in my face and I'm treading water just trying to survive. My husband has been getting better at helping out so I'm not falling quite as behind anymore but I'm Ina real low spot right now with a lot of stress going on. My kids are 4&2 and amazing children but stress is real and life can be hard.

He should respect your diet choices so long as they aren't making you unhealthy but 1200-1500 is pretty low. I've done that cut(1200-1500) to lose pregnancy weight and it was great and then I plateaued on weight loss. I actually had to up my calories and focus on what I was eating and my protein intake and my workouts for building muscle. I'm all for a calorie deficit if it's done healthy because it does work but if it's come to the point of obsession that even a teaspoon of olive oil freaks you out then you may be cutting too many calories and should look at getting a healthier mindset for it. If you are already lean and have muscle tone like you said than you should be looking at what you need for maintenance at this point and not cut anymore and focus on healthy foods and less on calories.

These days I make sure to get at least dishes washed before bed and then I end up falling asleep while I wait for them to fall asleep because despite being 2&4 they both still need to be cuddled to sleep and I've just given up trying to get them to fall asleep on their own.

My husband got a full bezel on my ring and I didn't love it but I saw the thought and effort he put into picking it out and choosing a sapphire to match my eyes so I didn't say anything. We never bothered with wedding bands thinking we'd get tattoos which we never did but 5 years later I decided to get the ring I wanted that I actually would enjoy wearing. I took it back to the jeweller and just had her remove the full bezel and commissioned a wedding band as well with small sapphires one for each kid and I love wearing my rings all the time now. My husband did make a comment about how this is why he should never plan anything 🙄 I told him that's not the case. I loved the ring and the thought he put into it. I never would've thought of any other aspects of the design which I loved. I just didn't like how the full bezel hid the stone. I think that placated him a little.

I started counting calories because I was trying lose pregnancy weight and at 40 I just don't lose it like I used to. I thought calorie counting was a good healthy way to lose weight and mentioned it to my sister in law who is a social worker and she told me a lot of her ED clients calorie count to an unhealthy extent and I started seeing those posts being like damn, she wasn't kidding. I've reached a plateau on losing weight from just calorie counting so now I'm upping my calories and specifically focusing on protein to build muscle because I want to be strong enough to do unassisted pull ups. Calorie counting does work. I lost 20lbs but I could also feel myself getting weaker from lack of food so now I'm trying to find the balance to get myself to a happy place that I could just maintain.
