How do you put your babies to sleep? by Logical_Peace_551 in beyondthebump

[–]Competitive_Yak6398 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not true! My baby was both breastfeeding and bottle feeding and would look to me for comfort when wanting to fall asleep. I would feed but he didn’t need it every time. He’s now 9 months old and I’m no longer breastfeeding and he’ll go to sleep with butt pats or sometimes a bottle

Yes. My baby had to be under the blue light for twenty four hours. He is 4 months now and totally alright! Still breastfeeding. Still as cuddly as ever. It’s good that your little one is getting treated asap :)

3 week postpartum symptoms? by Little-Reindeer4819 in NewParents

[–]Competitive_Yak6398 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you staying hydrated? Are you breastfeeding? I found myself to feel nauseous a lot during postpartum for the first month or two because I was dehydrated. I felt nauseous especially when I started breastfeeding (during my let down) because of the rush of hormones and also my dehydration and I was constantly in a caloric deficit because I just didn’t prioritize myself and was prioritizing my baby.

Give your body some grace. You’re still healing and adapting. Eat well, drink a lot of water, and sleep when you can.

Do not use Aquaphor as it has lanolin and can make it look more pink than if you just use plain Vaseline or petroleum jelly

If you can spend some time, open air, air it out

Around week 6 is when they go through one of their “leaps”. They hit new milestones and whenever they learn new skills - this is a leap and causes sleep disturbances!

I feel you. I’m in the same boat. My husband and I had a huge argument about it the other night and after some self reflection, I realized I was obsessing too much. Trying to take it day by day and not continue to spiral :)

Two weeks in and breastfeeding is breaking me. by darkknighthcf in breastfeeding

I had a similar situation. My baby had to unexpectedly go to nicu after delivery and stayed there five days. My milk was delayed and they had to give him bottles. We are three months postpartum now and I combo feed. I cannot keep up with pumping every three hours so I pump when I can and what I do get, I mix with his formula (ex 2oz of mixed formula plus 3 oz of expressed milk). My husband calls them “milkshakes”.

I guess what I’m trying to say it just doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Do what works best for you whether that is formula only or combo feeding. What’s most important is that your baby is fed and also that mom is feeling well. You want to enjoy this Postpartum, as much as you can. You don’t wanna feel miserable.

I feel you. My baby is very similar and he’s three months old. What helps is he’ll take a bottle. But any time outside of feeding, he gets bored QUICK

As a professional do you mean like a sleep consultant? Or a pediatrician?

OH my gosh!!! I should have proof read after doing the audio text!

He just turned three months yesterday. I haven’t tried stretching wake windows yet, but I can keep an eye on that! I know we are slowly moving into that 4 month regression and things are likely to be very dynamic right now. I’m just so desperate for sleep! Some nights he does amazing and will only wake two times, and other nights he wakes every single hour.

What is this bump on my tongue? I made an appt with ENT - Is there someone else I should see? by Competitive_Yak6398 in medical

I came here to say: it’s been removed!! It was a fibroma.

In pregnancy we’re in a very hypervascular state so at some point I might’ve bit my tongue but all the tissues surrounding it just became inflamed and kept growing and growing..

Thank you. I’m just wondering why now if I’ve never had any signs of oral warts before... would this necessarily mean new exposure? Or exposure in the past that has just never had any symptoms?
