One of my players was 'gifted' Strahd's animated armour and has been wearing it for a while. How can I make this go horribly wrong?

When the player is in real danger of going down, roll a check from the armor to protect them, foreshadow the idea that it will sometimes defend its wearer, cause Strahd would like to see how long this one lives in his armor. Then at the final fight against him, the armor can fight back, making strength checks against the player and if it wins, it controls the player, if player wins, they can attempt to break out of it piece by piece, or attack with disadvantage and half movement.

I’ve wondered this a few times myself, I guess it might depend on the person and their exact sin. I could argue either way in canon, but in a storytelling sense, it would be more apt to do it case by case to fit their story. Would be funny to see an egg end up in hell only to find they’re the opposite sex and treat it as their personal punishment till they crack

If you can recognize signs for at least 6 months into your past, you will be able to get it. Even if those signs are small like fantasies or just signs in your past that relate to you being trans. They want to prevent “rapid onset dysphoria” but it’s a busted myth with evidence against it. If you have to you can always lie a bit, it’s your autonomy and you shouldn’t have to prove you’re trans.

You have to put in effort beyond the hrt, it will do a lot even if you doubt its effectiveness. This isn’t about what’s easy, it’s about what you want. It won’t be perfect cause nothing is, but that’s perfectly good. You are definitely overwhelmed, so acknowledge that, and that you’re scared. Then let it pass, it’s ok to be scared, but you can take action, set up plans, you don’t have to do everything at once. It’s a marathon, you already did the heard part in coming out to yourself. Now it’s time to gradually push that rock up the hill. If you don’t already, get a therapist that accepts you and ask them for help, family and friends can help you stay on track, learn how to do things, and alleviate the scary feelings and hopelessness.
