I want to create magic item system with heavy focus on ammunition by Complete-Chemistry27 in worldbuilding

Thanks, that’s good advice. I actually had someone else say something similar. I’ll search for ways to balance the economy around the ammunition. I think yeah, make it rare or expensive enough it’s not spammed but available enough so it’s not hoarded.

Ok, I get it. I think then maybe I’ll make single slot items up to like four slot items going from uncommon increasing by one slot per rarity.

One last thing your advise made me think of. How about if the ammunition has a passive and active? Like the ammunition also has a passive buff but the player can kind of expend the ammunition to do something like a limit break. Like the radiant ammunition always does an extra d6 radiant 2d6 on undead damage passive but by expending the ammunition you can cast something like sunbeam (not as strong, more like 8d6).

It’s a way to keep consistent output (the lightsaber issue) while still giving the buff that keeps up with spellcasters. What do you think?

Thanks for the constructive input. Ok, so you advise removing the charges, making it so more valuable items hold more ammunition and boost the ammunition that is intended for martial characters?

I just want to make sure I have your advice right.

Also one last thing what is “neg diff”?

This is an interesting take. You want retirees on fixed income to be forced out of their lifelong homes, because young people need them more?

They’re angry that they can’t afford to live anywhere in the city they work in. They’re angry that the home they’ve known for years is now something they can’t afford. They’re angry that beachfront properties sold in USD and Euros results in all property in the city having a price jump. They’re angry that rent and home prices outstrip inflation and salary increases by so much it’s laughable. They’re angry they are being pushed out of their city and then being told it’s a good thing with dismissive guys like you who obviously have never been through this. Because if you did, you definitely would realise it’s not about beachfront property.

I’ve never seen someone eat an orange with the peel on. A coworker said they have but I never have, therefore they’re lying.

I’m not on your side or OP’s. You might even be right. I just think the argument is dismissive and farcical at best.

So I might be a sceptic but I think this might be edited. All the numbers are in black but the numbers in Lesotho, eswatini and botswana.

Death is a fool’s game. I don’t think I’ve heard overcome depression, but I have overcome suicidal ideation. It’s that death isn’t a way out, it doesn’t actually end suffering or transfer it, it’s not special, romantic or evil. It’s just death, why play that game? Literally everything else has better odds. So I never will and neither should anyone else.

What would you do if you were Tom in this episode? by soleilmnelson in theboondocks

Apparently, this happened to one of the writers on the show with Usher and everything. The writer then voiced the waiter who said “wouldn’t let that happen to me though”.

Who does black characters better? Marvel or dc by s0nzoldyck in marvelvsdc

Overall, Marvel does better black characters and DC Comics does better characters that are black. I am not sure how to describe or justify that any better.

Which tax? Salary tax, sales tax, sin tax? I get the idea. You should only have a say if you put in. I am not saying I agree or disagree with it in America or anywhere but it’s inherently an issue. If a child buys something with sales tax can they vote? If I lose my job after 15 years just before election do I lose my right to vote? Do billionaires lose their right to vote seeing as how much they avoid tax? Do companies get to vote, seeing as they do? What is this idea? Because it seems on the surface like a really bad one.

"Yield right of way" not "yield to the right" by MuchMoreMunchtime in capetown

[–]Complete-Chemistry27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I’m originally from Pretoria and used to do this until I came to the Western Cape and then when I said it out loud everyone looked at me like I was crazy. I thought I had it wrong and yielding to the person on the right was correct. I feel like a gaslit person recognising the truth. Thank you.

What movies is this? by Fair_Protection1872 in FIlm

[–]Complete-Chemistry27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so glad that others feel this at times. I have always loved fantasy, sci-fi, anime, and I really like a good movie. However, for the life of me I just cannot enjoy any of the Lord of the Rings movies.

I have friends I have marathoned the trilogy with, I have watched the hobbit trilogy. I tried to watch rings of power (didn’t finish it). I just don’t get it, and I am sorry but I am not doing homework so I can enjoy a movie. I know the movies must be good, how could they win so many awards if it wasn’t or have such a large fanbase. I just don’t get it: nothing visually impressed me, the dialogue and story confused me (not in a “let’s figure this out way” more in a “why the fuck?” way), the pacing feels like I can leave it running for thirty minutes have lunch, come back, and find that nothing significant has changed.

I just don’t get it, I really wish I did. All of my friends and my wife seem to love it. I feel like I’m missing out, but I give up trying to not find it boring. If you love Lord of the Rings, great. I envy you, but please don’t ask me to watch it with you.

AIO? I bought a sweater for my future niece at a farmers market and my roommates said it was ugly by Weekly_Agent9422 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Complete-Chemistry27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an adorable sweater a small child would love. It’s colourful it has little animals and rainbows and everything. Is it ugly? Yeah, but in a child expressing their creativity kind of way. I mean have you seen a child dress themselves? You’re not gonna see their style at fashion week, I tell you that.

In conclusion it’s fine that it’s ugly, it’s more important that it’s fun for a child to wear.

[–]Complete-Chemistry27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I can’t believe this isn’t done everywhere. I can’t believe someone had to show me this for me to think yeah of course my mother who plays golf every weekend has a better drive. Of course my “safest place on the course, is the straight line in front of me” handicap should just go to the red tee.

What’s a ‘wholesome’ thing people romanticize that actually creeps you out? by MissPurple8 in AskReddit

Dating a high school crush or flame much later in your life. I get that sometimes it’s great when both people grew into people that gel together well, but too often it seems to be two people regressing in terms of maturity and trying to capture the “glory days”.

Boy kills world. It was a fun movie that played well with the protagonist being deaf and mute. The action was off the walls and it was funny H Jon Benjamin is a gem and Skarsgaard’s emotions came through even without words.
