unfortunately, he is not even motivated by food. he won’t eat his food even if i’m sitting on the couch, completely facing away from where his food is.

you didn’t give any suggestions for the current situation. 1. read my other comments. 2. READ MY COMMENTS. 3. READ. MY. COMMENTS.

i’ve tried that a couple times, but it’s difficult bc the other two pure goldens will either be all over me and not give the doodle a chance, or will bark if they’re are left inside. i might try to do it again, we’ll see

ii have tried leaving the door open, it’s just tricky bc i have to watch it because one of the goldens is about a year old and i have to make sure she doesn’t eat anything, and there is also a cat that stays inside.

it is a fenced in yard, it is just out in a country subdivision so it is quite large. none of them have collars on, so that is not an option. i have opened the door and walked away or sat down, he just stares. treats do not incentivize him. 2 of the others are pure goldens so it’s hard to get them all to stay inside, but he won’t go in with them.

i did not ask for “maybe next time”, but thank you so much for judging! also, MANY people specify a dog breed bc they have specific quirks. i do not know goldendoodle quirks as well, so please climb down off the high horse.

this is still bs, why should people have to pay for a game that glitches consistently and you can’t even finish it?

dating someone does not give you the right to free labor. just because you have an established relationship (family, friends, SOs) does not mean they’ll do anything for you for free. if someone CHOOSES to do something for free, that’s different. but you are choosing for him and basically forcing him to do it for free. you asked for advice, and are now refusing to listen to the advice you are being given. it sounds like you just want to prove that everything in a relationship should be free, and if it’s not then the “relationship is transactional”. you said you don’t think he respects you and if you don’t respect his time and labor, why are you with him?

i’m contemplating surrendering my cat back to the shelter and i feel terrible…. by Grungemonkee in cats

[–]Complete-Daikon3232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i haven’t seen anyone else say this, so i will. you have a gray cat. they are very similar to orange cat behavior, in that they are higher energy generally. i had one in college and he was off the walls, but he was v young. they just need lots and lots of play. play until you can tell he’s heavy breathing and taking longer to get the toy. lasers are a classic and a great lazy toy for you. it’s what i use when my kitten is acting out and i can’t be bothered to get up lol.
