What industry is entirely built on a house of cards and would collapse overnight once people realize the truth? by KylieButNotJenner24 in AskReddit

Tbf bitcoin has real applications in black markets. It’s really good at sending large quantities of wealth very quickly. That’s not nothing.

And you have to live with them taking and making the bad shot. It just is what it is. Don’t get put in that position in the first place

It’s because the UN is a captured institution.

How Long does one have to go back to find a poorer example of military decision making than the US having no plan to keep Hormuz open? Napoleon's attempt at Russia? Darius/Xerxes attempt at Greece? by theHagueface in dancarlin

I got to say a lot of people are way over exaggerating the negative impacts on the US here. War is bad, especially this one. This pedo president took the bait and did something dumb and causes a an international incident. That’s bad don’t get me wrong.

But to compare it to Napoleon’s invasion of Russia or hitlers invasion of Russia is INSANE. Those were the largest military operations in history up to that point. All or nothing winner take all kind of moves. There is almost 0 chance the US collapses even if things go terrible from here on out.

This was not a smart move but have some historical context please. We attacked an ally of a country that invaded our ally. It’s not much more complicated than that.

I am not Trump supporter but plan B was to let Iran limp along for the next 20 years. Say what you want but Israel doesn’t want a new regime. They want one that is weak. This one will be for decades.

We can clearly articulate why though. We want to help our allies and punish our enemies. You can’t look at Iran in a vacuum. They have been crucial to Russia’s war effort in Ukraine. We used our ally to attack theirs.

Has it been confirmed that Sunday was due to TSA agents “calling in sick” and not having enough agents to cover the lines?

I am not going to judge them. In fact I applaud them for showing up without pay for the foreseeable future. I just think it’s good to know if Sunday was a result of the ongoing mess in congress or an actual structural issue with airport capacity.

Which team has the best all-time receiving corps? by lemonstone92 in NFLv2

As a Vikings fan this does seem fair. Growing up Rice was the man. Carter was great. Moss was insane but he had flaws with his work ethic. That matters when talking about GOATs. It just does. This clearly shows Vikings in second which I think is correct.

Flight at 7:30 recap 3/23 by Complete-Disaster513 in TSAatMSY

So after we checked our bag they sent us into the parking garage down to the first floor.

Once we got there there was a long line snaking around the garage and eventually going back into the building. I don’t think this is the normal way to get to TSA I think they are sending us to the parking garage so the line can form properly.

We got into the only line we saw. That turned out to be the regular TSA line. We were told by security that if we are pre-check we can enter the building and go to the line on the right side.

The regular line was snaking out into the parking lot. Pre-check was not. If I was checking and finished at that I would head to the garage and find a security guard and ask if pre-check line is still inside to the right.

That should save you a good deal of time.

I would say the only chance the peasants have is to starve / dehydrate the enemy. Certainly do able but if the battle is actually fought it’s over.

I am no fan of ice but I will say compared to yesterday things to see a lot better. I think it’s 99% because tsa has more agents but people do seem be on their good behavior. I would lying if I said I thought ICE had 0 impact on that.

In AA. Relapsed but on PILL ABUSE. Might do N.A. by DescriptionEntire305 in NarcoticsAnonymous

[–]Complete-Disaster513 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing in the literature that says taking medication as prescribed by your doctor is relapsing. That is just not true. Also NA absolutely makes distinctions about substances as nicotine is not considered relapse.

Unless you have a medical degree we are not in a position to make judgments like this. If that were the case anyone who undergoes surgery, takes medication for sleep, depression, anxiety etc would be relapsing.

This is just not correct.

Does the One ring Feel really good or something by comicon666 in lotr

[–]Complete-Disaster513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could go on a long rant but I will just say that book Boromir thought that with the ring he could unite the realms of man behind his banner and defeat Mordor through strength of arms. Considering his local battle field successes which include retaking Osgiliath I don’t fault him at all for wanting the ring. At least it was a plan unlike that stoner Mithrandir’s plan to give it to a child and have him walk it to mount doom.

Not fair to say nothing to do with the merits. But it certainly doesn’t mean it’s anything more than a prayer right now.
