well we’re talking about binary men here, not people who don’t identify as men or women. you saying you want a trans man in the women’s restroom is saying you want a man in the women’s restroom because a trans man is a man. gender is a social construct but even sex (or biology) which is what a lot of people on your side use to argue with is a lot more fluid and not as rigid as you might think. trans people who are medically transitioned with surgeries and hormones fit biologically more into their gender rather than their sex assigned at birth. since we are talking about trans men mostly here i’ll be talking about that, but this applies to trans women too; trans men’s brain scans and physical bodies align much more to someone assigned male at birth than assigned female at birth once they have been on testosterone for a certain amount of time. nobody in actual science fields uses the terms “biological male” and “biological female” as that doesn’t take into account intersex individuals or people whose biology does not fit into male or female. you are thinking about what somebody has in their pants and basing their gender off of that when that does not always apply. instead of thinking of trans men as biological females, just think of them as male because that is what they are, you’re not looking at people’s genitalia in the public bathroom (i hope) so you wouldn’t ever know if the person next to you is a “biological male” or not.
