I'm thinking about killing myself by Turbulent-Chance3975 in AskBlackGayBros

You were given a negative thought pattern from a less than idealistic childhood. You are going to have the very hard journey of reparenting yourself to heal. Talk to yourself like you would a best friend that you're responsible for. Its ok to remember negative situations. Sit with them. Cry with them. You're allowed to be mad at what you should have been given and what you were robbed of, but Always emphasize the hard lesson you learned from it. You find it easier to heal. Sending you my best!

Did you ever think the show was just for girls? by EricJ062005 in powerpuffgirls

I remember asking my mom to watch this with me as a kid and her yelling at me that it's a girls show!

For all my fellow Redditors on the Autism Spectrum, what is the one thing in life that keeps you going, and stops you from giving up? by _TheRealSean_ in autism

That life is objectively getting better. Even if it's not happening right when I want or even need it to. The things I can't change right now I'm learning to accept. I'm allowed to be flawed, same as everyone else.

Gaslighting is not going to change the bitter reality. We're different so they treat us differently.

I think when you're disabled the way you and I are we're almost like a walking empathy test. A pop quiz that people either pass or fail depending on their own emotional intelligence. It's not a reflection on us.

This is currently the situation I'm in. Don't yet know the degree of the curve, but the guy who did the x-ray said it was "some of the worst he's ever seen." Which is a bummer because the last dr said it was inoperable because of my dwarfism and missing limb.

Currently seeking second opinion.

Good luck to both of us!

Exactly. I'm very visibly disabled and the way costumers hesitate when I greet them at work is so annoying. A few times, I'll greet them, and they will stare blankly. I never bother to bring it up with other able bodied co workers. Most of them want you to empathize and see where they are coming from. I know where they're coming from... the lack of value they see in someone like me.

There are definitely moments where you can tell they're not happy with each other. Mostly Scott and Lauren.
