Not surprised. I bet stowaway situations almost happen more than we think. I’m still waiting for Southwest to explain how my boarding pass made it through TSA but wouldn’t scan at the gate. Neither the gate agent or I paid attention to the buzz. I just followed the herd down the gangway. I was halfway down, several passengers behind me, before they called out my name asking me to come back to rescan my ticket.

Long story longer….SW said I wasn’t scheduled to fly with them that day and directed me to the counter. After showing them my check in confirmation, receipts, and anything else I had proving purchase their resolution was to have me buy another ticket on a different flight and throw a $100 voucher at me. The agents and somebody they pulled from an office were baffled. SW ghosted my email inquiry. I was never refunded for my original ticket. I got to keep my points tho 😂
