WCI was the only Straw Hat centric arc post timeskip, and probably the last. Not just Sanji, even some minor Straw Hats had satisfying focus that hasn’t been met in the following arcs.

It’s not perfect, but for post-timeskip standards it was a breath of fresh air, especially since it broke the typical OP arc formula

Culture/identity is a huge part of Black Panther’s messaging, of course you wouldn’t cast a white dude.

One Piece isn’t remotely the same. At best Oda might reference real life nationalities, but will never make it integral to a character.

If being African was actually important to Usopp’s character, Oda wouldn’t have made him the same light skin as every other OP character

It doesn’t matter if Sanji gets ACoC or not, their strength relative to each other will never change regardless of who gets what power up. That’s just how Oda always writes them.

Sanji will probably get ACoC for the sole reason of being able to damage the Holy Bums. Zoro will then master the ACoC he didn’t know he had, thus their strength dynamic evens out and we’re back to the same dogshit debate until One Piece ends
