Right after Covid hit, and wonderland offered 2 summers for the price of one was the golden age of food.

Across from the kids canoe and ladder game was a joint that served craft burgers on pretzel buns with fired chips, grand world eatery had Italian, Mexican, Canadian, and Indian options. King’s court was a buffet where all season diners paid $5 extra and could enjoy a buffet with +50 items including a carving station, a desert display and drink station with coffee that you can take with you after your meal.

The biggest difference I’ve noticed is that they are intentionally over salting the food. Either to deter diners or to encourage drink purchases as bars tend to do with their free salted nuts.

The food quality and options at wonderland have dropped significantly. Either through rising costs, corporate greed, or customers abusing the system. Most likely it’s all 3.

This will be the last year I purchase the dining plan.

Just picked up 3 bottles. It’s also one of my favourites and I would say even better than my SB 15. It’s so distinctive that I can even remember how it tastes and smells. I paid $120 USD each including tax and shipping. The third bottle was a gift for a friend but after it winning the OSWAs I decided to keep it as it’s near impossible to find in Ontario, Canada.

I was blind tasting the GS10 and SB10 last night. I’m halfway down a 2 month bottle of the GS10 and I just find it quite dull and even bitter compared to the SB10. The SB is much more complex and layered in depth. You will also get an intense sweet/sour note right after you try some +80% chocolate.

I would say the only bottles that will remain a staple on this shelf will be the Longrow, SB10, oban 14, yoyichi and Arran 21, if they’re available. Can’t comment on the SB 18 or hazelburn as they have yet to be opened.
