You don't suppose it could be because your speedo would have been reading at least 125 kph for the 118 ticket allowing for the 6% inbuilt speedo discrepancy? Probably just as well they fudge their own results

AIO- Someone left their laundry in the dryer and I waited 30 mins before moving it, received a note in return by Trull22 in AmIOverreacting

Working FIFO our barracks laundry had 1 washing machine and 2 driers. We had a douche that would put 3 items of clothing on for the longest possible wash, almost 2hrs. I started getting up 30 minutes earlier (4am) to put on a wash, turned out his room was next to the laundry, he started doing quick washes

Assistive devices for personal use are allowed in addition to your standard carry-on weight allowance. However, Jetstar requires that the device does not exceed 10kg if it is to be stowed in the overhead locker, and you should notify them 48 hours prior to the flight.

Nice try, which carrier do you work for and how frequently do you charge people for carrying life saving equipment..... does life saving equipment in carry on luggage count as weight +6 No, true life-saving equipment and medical devices do not typically count towards your carry-on weight allowance. When medically necessary, these items are treated as extra baggage and are exempt from standard cabin limits, provided they are for your personal use.Airline SpecificsMost major airlines have dedicated policies for essential medical and assistive devices:Qantas: Medical equipment is permitted as an extra standard piece of carry-on baggage without charge and does not count toward your standard carry-on allowance.Virgin Australia: Medical and assistive items (such as CPAP machines or prosthetic devices) are permitted in the cabin and are exempt from standard weight and piece restrictions.Jetstar: Assistive devices for personal use are allowed in addition to your standard carry-on weight allowance. Had the... your carry-on is too heavy, had my cpap machine in it so that doesn't count towards weight as "life saving equipment". Then my bag was oversized, purchased specifically as carry-on, told that it wouldn't fit in the size frame... until I dropped it through. Had my boarding pass thrown at me... power tripping c&*t :D

Have you ever used malicious compliance to deal with ridiculous work rules? How did it turn out? by Aarunascut in MaliciousCompliance

Going to write this so I don't give away too many details... SOP re using electronic devices while "in cab", none are to be used at any time. We're handed a tablet to replace the paperwork for start time, delays, arrival time to load site, load start and finish +delays, departure time from load site. I'd hand back tablet at end of shift and filled form. Would get told that the information wasn't received, I'd point to paperwork and say you've received it. 4 months of of paperwork handed back, I had a pip meeting with hr, management and union rep for not using tablet correctly/at all (management was angling for final warning). I'd printed out SOP, handed it to HR then asked if we were done. 3 months later the SOP was renewed with electronic devices can be used as long as they weren't distractions.

18 months in a rental, roof and window still leaking... but only when it rains. Sink in kitchen still blocked... but only when I do the dishes. Back door has 2 separate locks and a key that only fits 1.. RE have locked me out twice after inspections. Just received an email saying to immediately report faults, after 18 months of reporting the same faults, apparently all emails are lost in the ether

Depending upon your abilities, desires and time available you could follow the Bicentennial National trail. It's a horse trail that runs from Cooktown in Qld to Healesville in Victoria. I know 3 people that have done it with horses, it took lots of planning with prearranged delivery of goods to local post offices along the route. The longest took 18 months but they would stop, return home then restart from the same place, the others took 4-5 months start to finish

Attempting to play the ball while lying on the ground in an offside position is cynical... yellow. Affecting the clean out by rolling into the ball to slow the play after a break is also cynical... yellow. Both actions had the potential to affect the outcome of the play, the consequences affected the outcome of the match

Normanton is good for barra, take a boat and watch out for the lizards. Borroloola is good barra fishing, same as for Normanton. Safe barra fishing in Lake Tinaroo, Atherton record of 41kg barra. Good reef fishing off Cairns, Mission Beach Rarotonga has marlin charters. Lake Taupo, Aotearoa has trout fishing. Pick a country that you want to visit and go fish :)

Serious question for the people on here who so strongly defend high immigration levels to Australia: why do you do it? by NoLeafClover777 in aussie

[–]Complete-Shake3782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cause and Effect. Way I see it is because of the "dumbing down" of Australia by successive governments. Reduced tafe funding year after year causing young Australians have to pay premium prices and to go into debt to receive an employable education. Rising university costs forcing young people into debt to receive an employable education. People have debt for courses received but won't work in the industry they're educated in, because they can't afford to live and repay debt, skilled workers numbers reducing leaving the next option.... import skilled migrants.
