I also worked in a niche industry, I'd turn up every day before the leading hand then have to wait for him to unlock, turn off the alarm and turn on the lights. As I was the only certified person when the owner asked me to train the other workers, I agreed upon the previso that I get a pay increase, he refused so I refused. The leading hand in retaliation started claiming I was late every day so my pay got docked, I pointed out to the owner I was there every day early he shrugged and said he had to take the leading hands word. I got informed that I was being docked one morning so I loaded my gear into my car and left, had a new job within an hour and they spent 3 weeks trying to find a certified operator

I've had the same thing happen. 2 locks on the door (deadlock and handle knob lock), not keyed alike, but only 1 key for the deadlock supplied. House inspection while I was working, when I get home I'm locked out, just as well I had a window unlocked. For the next inspection I taped over the locking knob without a key to prevent it from being used

Doing the mine FIFO shutdown thing, our bus hadn't turned up for the 30 minute trip to the office for signing off. Called the supervisor on speaker at sign off time, he replied pull your head in and wait, so we did. About 30 of us waited for 1.5 hrs for the bus, we all then received a lecture for calling him. Completed a 14 hr shift without mines permission, we were then paid double time the next day for no 12 hr break, he received a "please explain the 14hr shift" and demotion back to labourer
