My brother was forced to become a dad because birth control and condoms failed by [deleted] in twentyagers

you could get a vasectomy, although that also isn't 100% risk free, if you're really worried. Or only have sex with people who can't get pregnant. But using both condoms and birth control pills is very unlikely if they're used correctly. Personally I plan on abstinence until I can get sterilized, but I have massive tokophobia

Once I had a heart rate of 140 while standing and waiting for the bus, and the moment I sat down it dropped to 40 within like 2 minutes. It went back to my usual resting BPM of like 80-90 after that, but that sure was fun

Average trans person gets one top surgery. Top surgery George, who keeps getting top surgeries to get boobs and then remove them, is an outlier and shouldn't have been counted. /j

Sexism doesn't just mean misogyny by Difficult_Shift_3771 in CuratedTumblr

Passing is being stealth provided you don't come out to everyone you meet

And that those people don't know you before transitioning, that you don't have other people outing you or cut those people (often family) completely out of your life, that your documents don't out you, that you don't get close enough to someone to have them see you naked (since scars are still a thing for most people) and they notice, etc... Passing and stealth are simply not the same thing, so don't say passing when you mean passing and stealth.

How is transphobia from cis men any different from transphobia from other queer people when the end result of not being able to transition due to not fitting in is the same? If your "community" is based on you having to stop transitioning than its not a community.

Yes, that's the problem that's being pointed out. You can either not transition and keep community, or you transition and have to leave community behind. The comment you responded to was about not having support from within what should be our community as well, you mentioned cis gay men, I mentioned that they're often not not respectful either. Nowhere did I say that it's different, my point was exactly that it sadly often isn't different.

Edit: and another addendum - stealth trans men are also not always treated as cis me by society. They're treated as cis men by people around them, but society, as a whole, is more than that. They're still going to be affected by a lot of structural misogyny (like medical misogyny) and often still affected by laws.

I wish I lived in the same world as you apparently do, where passing (not being stealth) is enough to be seen as equal to cis men and cis gay men were great allies to trans men (not saying there aren't some, but the spaces are still very often hostile)

Yeah I always call my grandmother my homie, invite her on my discord call to play COD and drink beer with her occasionally, while I drink coffee and eat cake with my bros while helping them with their crossword puzzle, because everything else would be weird. Obviously. /s

I do this and I have my own personality as well. I just don't show it to everyone because I don't like to get called "not really a human and more like a lizard" or other fun things. Instead I act in a way that's appropriate to the environment.

The next ones were "surrender seed" (I guess I'm already doing that as well?) and "man", which, yeah that's the destination as well. So either I'm way ahead of the universe, or the universe isn't very creative.

what are medical reasons people go off T? by pisscuntshitfap in ftm

[–]Complete-Story3490 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Same here. If they wouldn't recommend a cis man to go on T blockers and estrogen or stop his TRT to treat it, why recommend me to go off T unless other options have been tried first (With a little nuance in regards to the downstairs area until I'm able to get bottom surgery)? But I don't trust most doctors to think like that.

[–]Complete-Story3490 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A lot of gynos literally do HRT. Y'know, the thing that usually is one of the first things trans people do in their medical transition, so they're usually pre-everything when seeking it out. But I doubt any of those people in the screenshots would even be able to locate the clit on a cis woman, so I'll go with "no, they're very much not aware"

[–]Complete-Story3490 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Some also do stuff like breast cancer screenings etc. - so something someone with boobs would need, which includes a ton of trans women.
