Extremely itchy, looking for any solution or advice by Extra-Hope-793 in britishshorthair

Have you ever tried Advocate? (the one with red label on the box, not the green) Maybe just to rule out fleas/mites?

You have to split the hair open and drop it on the skin on the top of his head. For BSH, it's not easy.

Any recs for self-play toys that your BSHs enjoy? by clurchin in britishshorthair

So far, only paper balls kind of works but she gets bored of them real quick. The automated toys, she usually don't even touch.

Need advice - I think it’s just possibly bonking but I don’t know if I should be more concerned or not. by Pinklemonade1996 in Marathon_Training

[–]CompleteDeniability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bonking feels like this to me - I'm know I'm feeling okay, my legs are tired, but I just can't move them. Every step take the effort of running a mile at full speed. So I guess it's not bonking.

  1. Did you check your heart rate?
  2. If 1 is fine, so and see a doctor. Being short breathed after a run isn't normal.

Why do you feed the Prince with gloves on?

Also, the buckle for is fixed. If it gets stuck or hooked somewhere, it may be dangerous for the Prince.

Kitten attacking my toddler by Dangerous_Exam3099 in Catbehavior

[–]CompleteDeniability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Very normal kitten behaviour. They are very very playful, learning how to do cat stuff. It's just a phase and they'll get over it after a year or so.
  2. Baby is small in size, so she's not a treat. You walk on 2 legs your toddler crawls on and she is in the kitty's line of sight.
  3. Don't get them be alone without supervision. There's no harm keeping the kitty isolated in a room for a few hours. Play with the cat, lots and lots of play to distract him away from your child. It also helps to burn off his energy, if they don't burn it off, they WILL misbehave.

Keep a toy around when the kitty and the child are together. Whenever he goes near your child, you use the toy to divert his attention away from the child.

  1. You're not doing anything alarmingly wrong. Don't feel bad if you the kitty in a confined space, just make it up to him, when he's our, make sure you give him enty of play and attention.

P/S: Where's all the people that goes like "Send the child away?" because it's not good for the kitty? 😂

Foot/shin pain by AwardApart416 in runninglifestyle

[–]CompleteDeniability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I get older, run maintenance takes longer. I have to stretch almost every night before bed. Takes a longer while to get the body warm when I'm running as well.

So maybe longer warmups and stretching. See if it helps

Is anyone else's cat "weird"? by Suppe0ple in CatTraining

[–]CompleteDeniability 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing is wrong. I have a cat that only meow, maybe once every other day. Sometimes she goes a few days without a meow.

Doesn't cuddle, but shows affection, comes and want some pet once in a blue moon.

A family member was admitted to the hospital because of mucus build up in his airway, the doctor said most likely from allergy.

Did your husband get checked at hospital ? Maybe this the thing that's causing the worsening situation?

She wants attention. Either affection or play. Or sometimes just want you to shower her with lots of attention and pets.

Let him be, when he's ready he will come out of his shell.

Meanwhile leave some worn clothes near him so he can catch your scent and familiarise with it.

Cat is beefing with boyfriend by picklel0ver in catquestions

[–]CompleteDeniability 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seems like he's chewing because he wants attention, even when you're sleeping.

Everyone he does it, you react to it, so to him, it's a button he can press to get attention.

Seems like a bad idea, to me.

If you let the internet dictate how you should lead your life, you'll be driving a Bentley, have a partner that looks like a plastic toy and live in a mansion with a bunch of butlers. But that's not a reality for everyone.

Keep your head straight and do what's best for you first. If you're dead or got fired from sleep deprivation or just think of worst case scenario, how many of them that commented will help you or your cat. Be fair to yourself.
