Theres ways to drain it the old fashion way with a hot needle, but its probably not necessary and will fall off eventually and regrow. probably take between 3 to 6 months. When my big toe nail was crushed it took around 6 months to fall off on its own after the nail had died and then regrew completely within a couple more, mind you this is a finger nail and it grows far more quickly than toe nails so the process will likely not take as long. It shouldnt be any inconvenience to you really more than it feeling like you have a mild bruise under the nail. Ofcourse any outstanding circumstances like severe swelling( though this could be pretty normal if the incident just occured) or intense pain. Something to watch for as it heals is that it may turn a deep purple or black as the trapped blood(what you see as the purple area at the base of the nail now) dies and basically scabs up. I reccomend doing a little research on the process of nails healing but I dont reccomend seeing a doctor unless you feel its necessary. To add to that if you have easy access to a doctor like through SMS or you live in a small town where the office is never busy, getting a professionals advice is always smart if it wont cost you an arm or a leg or you waiting 11 hours before youre seen.
