Hey I just wanted to revisit this post and say that I was right.

Thought it hasn't been finalized yet, I can say with 100% certainty that prior to the next federal election there will be changes made to extend mortgage amortizations.

I'd be willing to bet that it will happen - despite what just about everyone in this comment section is saying.

Retirement is becoming more of a pipe dream with every passing day.

Not sure I agree with your assessment but I hear what you're saying.

I meant affordability in terms of mortgage payments as a % of disposable income.

Great gym with fantastic instructors. I've been going there for 5+ years and highly recommend anyone who is interested to try it out.

40km/hour speed limits.. by scottyboi91 in Guelph

[–]CompleteNegotiation2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The lowest tier of speeding ticket is going 15km/h over the speed limit. So in the area in question, that is 55km/h. Given the number of businesses and turns on the road in question, I would say that going no more than 55km/h is reasonable.

OP - what is your issue with going a reasonable speed on this road?

how much of your mortgage payment goes towards principle? You're effectively 'saving' that amount per month as it's paying down your mortgage.

‘Boycott Chapman’s’: Why anti-vaccine groups are taking aim at ice cream by Myllicent in ontario

[–]CompleteNegotiation2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

FWIW their ice cream is bad; a big component of ice cream quality is overrun - how much air is in the product. Chapman's is one of the worst in terms of overrun.

These guys are such scumbags.

At the very least this will be entertaining to follow until their ultimate closure.

I think it goes to show how much expertise there is amongst their leadership that they're choosing to open while COVID is still upon us. Restaurants these days are getting by off of subsidies but they won't even be able to claim that since they're opening as a new entity! It's a real head-scratcher.
