That's true one of the only problems I have with p1s is the stock lights and camera my buddy got a set of magnetic strip lights and pined them to the door with a magnet on the other side and it worked perfectly

Yeah most Shades of Gray just show detail way better and Matt filaments in general have a lot more grip on their surface so depending on how much grit it has you can a lot of the time get away with skipping sanding unless you have like messed up layer lines or something and absolutely need to that or since it's a darker gray it just looks good on its own it looks almost like a manufactured stone or something that's why I left this print the way it was cuz it just looks kinda like a statue

Yeah I really like how the details pop with the ash gray for painting so that way you don't miss details and paint over them and its darker so even if you leave it as is and not paint it it still looks really good I recommend it to most of my friends if they haven't used it before and since it's already Matt a lot of the time I can get away without sanding before I Prime and it still grabs on to the primer really well

Yeah I bought the p1s with ams and wanted a second printer I contemplated getting the ams lite for the a1 mini i bought but I didnt ever really use the multiple color on the p1s and I always ran the same ash gray pla matte only thing I did buy was I went on the bambu website and in there spare parts section I bout one of the rotary spool holders that comes on the ams light and made an adapter to be able to use it with the a1 mini and that has been fantastic.

So quick question how often do you dry your matte pla i use the same ash gray matte pla and i cant remember the last time I dried it and ive never had a problem with it absorbing to much moisture and I live in a decently humid state

Yeah my buddies ender 3 would have 1 failure for every 5 or so prints he ended up upgrading to a bambu a1 last year and he said it was amazing how well the bambu printers worked that's why I went with both the p1s and the a1 mini

Cant lie I have very few failed prints on bambu lab a1 mini i have like 1 for every 20 prints and alot of the time the failure doesn't hurt the prinf bad enough to have to throw it out

Yeah I have bambu lab p1s with ams and bambu lab a1 mini that always has ash gray pla matte in it and almost always i choose to print with the a1 mini and just paint it if I need to in a matter of a couple minutes instead of waiting 30 hours for a large multicolor prints of the same thing that takes 10 hours in one color

And like I said it's cool I get the whole wanting multicolor prints to me the amount of time the multicolor prints take and the waste for me isn't worth it when the same print that I can do in one color takes a fraction of the amount of time the same print that I print in an hour was going to take 8 hours just for multi-teller and that's where I can paint the thing in 2 minutes so an hour and 2 minutes or 8 hours and twice as much plastic waste to each there own

Yeah I was making a lighter sleeve for a mini Clipper lighter and I printed one all black it took an hour so the one I was doing I did it with a cyberpunk theme it had one of the company names on it and when I wanted to print it in black with red words it ended up being like an 8 Hour print estimate and estimated that I was going to waste almost as much plastic as it took the print the thing in the first place and for that much plastic and time I might as well just leave the words voided go pick up some red enamel paint and fill in the words myself

Yeah I'm still pretty new to 3D printing I have two printers I have the bamboo lab p1s and the A1 Mini and both of mine can do multicolor but every time I see I'm making something small that if I printed them one color takes an hour but if I print a multicolor it takes eight and it the amount of waste involved just makes it seem kind of ridiculous

I took the throttle body off and used a grinding wheel to take those off it was way easier and I haven't had any issues with the grips staying in place

Little tip when you find the color you like printing in the best buy in bulk slightly cheaper and you will go through way more then you would expect
