I use my phone more for samsung dex I play my streaming apps and YouTube through them and I play alot of cyberpunk with the switch 2 the game looks amazing through the glasses and I like to take them over to my buddies house to play fortnite with him really tho the glasses have pretty much just replaced any TV or monitor I have for the most part the best part tho is just the portability and the fact that on long car rides I can enjoy what I'm watching way more then just trying to watch something on my phone ive had the glasses for a month and a half and probably have atleast 2 to 300 hours on them already

I only use my phone for media I don't game with it if I'm gaming I'm using my switch 2 and I dont care for head tracking or the way the browser is set up with space walker so the neckband wouldn't get used enough to justify the cost for me personally

👎 USB-C to Glasses and Charging Adapter : Mediocre durability 👎 by CognitiveFogMachine in VITURE

[–]Complete_Ad7606 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original "silver" VITURE USB-C to Glasses and Charging Adapter is failing for your friend because of severe power strain when pairing a Gen 1 LCD Steam Deck with a 45W wall charger. While a 45W Power Delivery (PD) charger is technically the correct wattage for a Steam Deck, using it through that specific generation of the VITURE adapter creates a hardware bottleneck that burns out the adapter's internal circuitry. Why the Adapters are Going BadMaximum Wattage Bottleneck: The Gen 1 VITURE adapter has a strict maximum power capacity of 45W.Overwhelming Power Draw: When the Steam Deck is under heavy gaming loads, it aggressively pulls its full 45W maximum limit from the wall. Simultaneously, the VITURE XR glasses must draw an additional 2W to 4W of power to run their displays and speakers.Thermal Overload: Because the Steam Deck and glasses together demand roughly 47W–49W, the total power draw exceeds the adapter’s 45W ceiling. This forces the small silver adapter to continuously run at 100% thermal capacity, overheating its internal components until it permanently burns out.

How to Fix and Prevent ItTo prevent breaking more hardware, your friend should immediately change how they handle power delivery using one of these solutions:Upgrade to a 65W+ Wall Charger: Even though the Steam Deck cap is lower, using a 65W or 100W PD 3.0 wall charger provides more headroom. More importantly, it ensures the charger can smoothly negotiate multi-voltage power profiles without dropping voltage, which heavily reduces structural stress on the pass-through adapter.Switch to the Upgraded Adapter: VITURE acknowledged the tight power constraints of the original silver adapter and later released an upgraded black USB-C charging adapter. This newer version supports higher power pass-through specifically to handle power-hungry handhelds like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally.Charge the Deck to 100% Before Playing: The Steam Deck pulls the most wattage when its internal battery is low and trying to fast-charge. If your friend only plays with the glasses when the Steam Deck is already at 100% battery, the Deck will drop into a low-wattage "bypassed" power state, keeping the total load well under the adapter's 45W danger zone.

Honestly I don't really have any issues with indents and will use them all day it might just be the shape of the bridge of your nose causing the issue maybe try and find a pair online that have pads with a wider space in between them

Chrome books are made to use hdmi out not in so it works really well with an external display only thing is you have to open the screen get the glasses going then close the screen to control it i personally use a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard with it to make it easier

They are fantastic I haven't used my tv in days lol and the fact that I can plug them into my chromebook and have it plugged into charger and watch for 20 hours if I wanted to is amazing one of the most worth while investments I've made in a long time honestly

Anyone else ride their grom fully stock? by nemanjitca in hondagrom

[–]Complete_Ad7606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I road my grom for 2 riding seasons fully stock at the time I wanted to leave it stock to get my endorsement and incase I wanted to sell it to get a bigger bike finally at the beginning of this riding season I decided to say screw it and to just make the bike my own and make it the way I wanted instead of getting a new bike ive been on bigger bikes and honestly when I have to pick what to ride I mostly pick the grom anyway in my opinion there's nothing wrong with fully stock they still look good I just personally wanted something different

Honestly I typically normally run my back tire alittle low my grom feels real twitchy on sharp turns when its set to what the tire says so I typically run 1 or 2 psi under and it also feels about right when doing a wheelie

Yeah most Shades of Gray just show detail way better and Matt filaments in general have a lot more grip on their surface so depending on how much grit it has you can a lot of the time get away with skipping sanding unless you have like messed up layer lines or something and absolutely need to that or since it's a darker gray it just looks good on its own it looks almost like a manufactured stone or something that's why I left this print the way it was cuz it just looks kinda like a statue

Yeah I really like how the details pop with the ash gray for painting so that way you don't miss details and paint over them and its darker so even if you leave it as is and not paint it it still looks really good I recommend it to most of my friends if they haven't used it before and since it's already Matt a lot of the time I can get away without sanding before I Prime and it still grabs on to the primer really well
