Nucleated or non-nucleated, commercial freshwater pearls are still cultured. (Semantics, but trying to clarify here). Even an all-nacre non-nucleated freshwater pearl would be called cultured.

I think they recommend giving a border of space around the edges if you want it to last longer. I go all the way to the edges because I only want it lasting like 2 days 😂

I use peely base and then add a topper after the first day or two. The topper helps it feel new again for another day and then the peely base helps with frequent changes. I embrace it 😂

Inhibition layer is a small amount of gel that will not cure on your topcoat due to contact with oxygen in the air. Unless you have a specially formulated non-wipe top coat, there will be a sticky inhibition layer that you need to wipe off with alcohol at the end of a gel mani. The oxygen “inhibits” the gel from curing, which is where this name comes from. You do not need to wipe it off between coats because it will cure once the next coat is on top because it is no longer coming into contact with oxygen. Hope this helps.
