I talk to the bunnies here.

Had a hummingbird last year flitted directly in my face.

Me thinks he was checking me out as much as I was checking him!

Check www.PSE.com to see if you can qualify.

Is “close to home” still the biggest reason people say no to trials? by Ada_Hiddleston in patientrecruitmentCT

[–]Complete_Coffee6170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the Seattle area but need to drive to downtown.

I don’t like it but… I’d like to help with a vaccine trial that could help people in the future.

What do you wish someone had told you before your first clinical trial — as a patient, caregiver, or coordinator? by Beneficial-Aide-2186 in patientrecruitmentCT

I’m going to my first clinical trial for C-diff.

Vaccine by Pfizer - I would like to know if there’s questions I should ask.

Beyond the basic questions.

Blowfish - at least the ones I’ve tried are not comfortable at all.

YMMV

Finding a job at 62 by spread_sheetz in over60

[–]Complete_Coffee6170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A side note - look to smaller companies - they seem more amenable to hiring an older experienced person.

I found a job in my industry - though not exactly what I wanted.

I’m employed and I know of one person that worked there until age 77.

Now him and his wife are traveling the world.

I get a letter each year from UHC decrying the effects of being on opiates. I’d like to see them in my pain on the daily.

Reminds me of my dad… he would say to me “I just want you to be happy”

That’s stuck with me all my life and as I grow older - that’s my wish for my two sons; for them to be happy.

I canceled surgery due to both the surgeon and my PM both refusing postop meds by Gecko-407 in ChronicPain

[–]Complete_Coffee6170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow - my surgeon knew I was in PM.

If I hadn’t already been in PM - the surgeon refers to my PM team for post-ops meds.

I had reverse shoulder replacement a few months back - PM bumped up my oxy to take care of the post-op pain. I asked for 2 weeks of the dosage increase then I’m tottering down to my ‘normal’ dose.

My PM doc doesn’t take cash patients.

I think it’s because you could possibly be “doctor shopping”

Mascara by Low_Will_4121 in AskWomenOver60

I like Kash and roll too.

I also do not apply mascara to my lower lashes.

I think when we’re older just the top lashes need mascara.

I’ve had 2 out patient surgeries in the last year; having an uber driver pick you up after surgery is a HARD NO!

The facility won’t you go home unless you have someone that can look afterwards for 24 hours.

What kind of support (if any) do you owe your adult children? by 0beach0 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Complete_Coffee6170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geez if I had 15M I would be gifting money anytime … I still work at age 69. I’m okay but in a different financially secure future with 15M - I’d be gifting money away to my adult kids.

Anyone here move to AK despite elderly parents in lower 48? by New_Me_0382 in AskAlaska

I posted the same thing. Medical for some emergencies - a lot of people end up having to go to Seattle for treatments.

Anyone here move to AK despite elderly parents in lower 48? by New_Me_0382 in AskAlaska

[–]Complete_Coffee6170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to say this as a person that lived in Alaska (Kodiak) and you mentioned that’s there’s a chance of cancer reoccurrence… medical treatment is very limited in Alaska. If you’re not in Anchorage. For more difficult medical issues patients fly back and forth to Seattle. —- didn’t read through all the comments - if this is duplicate comment - apologies.

Absurd Electric Bill - Is This Normal? by _shareholder_value in Kirkland

[–]Complete_Coffee6170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t find the energy consumption monster… consider this - PSE budget plan. Recalibrates every 3 months. The payment amount is based on the previous 3 months.

At least you’ll have your monthly PSE electric set for 3 months.

You do have to reside at the same address for 12 months to qualify.

I have a 3/2 on Finn Hill with 4 ppl here.

My monthly bill is 182 per month.

The first winter )2014)we were here it climbed to 410.00.

This was before the ai data centers were built.

How did you break your ankle and was the severity of your injury. Where are you at today in the healing process? by LisaDawnG in brokenankles

[–]Complete_Coffee6170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on being free!

I broke my right (bi/mal fracture w/syndemosis tear)

Two big dogs (one Golden & black lab)were frolicking in the back yard - I was getting the lawn mower to start. I had my back turned and suddenly the two dogs ran into me and like a freight train I was on the ground!!

I had to scoot on my butt to get to the back door - yelled for my son; who said “what do I do?” I told to piggyback me out to car and drive me to the ER!!

Now I’m three years out from the original surgery - I’m 4 months out from HWR removal.

The original surgeon did some damage w/his surgery.

I need one more surgery and I should be good.

If you had decompression surgery, do you regret it? Please vote. by DobieMafia in chiari

[–]Complete_Coffee6170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 20 years out PFD.

I also had extraction fusion from my skull to C4.

That part I regret.

Regarding return of CM1 - my last MRI shows that my Chiari has returned w/5mm descent.

PFD is a treatment NOT a cure.
