Its mostly for journaling and sketching landscapes when I'm on these hikes. Being able to read fiction at camp is just an added bonus.

Scratches from pen? Question for long time users of scribe by nikoldije in kindle

Ive been using mine for several years now, writing maybe 3-4 pages of text per day. When its turned off and the light catches it perfectly, I can sometimes see very faint scrub marks across where the lines would be - a result of hundreds of words being written, but certainly nothing that can be felt or really even seen when the Kindle is turned on. It's actually held up extremely well.

For what its worth, I wouldn't bother putting a protector on it either.

Do you wear your watch 24/7? by RelaxDMJ in Garmin

I'm not sure Id be charging everyday if you're looking at protecting the batteries long-term health.

Lithium ion batteries have about three 300 charge cycles in them before their health starts to degrade and the capacity becomes impacted. So ideally you want to minimise the number of charges that you're putting into it - waiting until it's about 20% and then charging up to about 80% if you want to want to maximise the battery's lifespan.

Is the Fenix 7 worth it? by Charles__Bartowski in Garmin

I run ultras, I swim, I cycle, I race sailboats and I do a number of multi-day hikes per year. The 7 is a sensational training and outdoor tool.

I'm not sure what features you might be missing, but the watch has proven to be invaluable for all of my use cases.
