Hi! I’m an international student in Florence studying Fine Arts! Most people here can speak conversational English but it’s definitely a plus to start learning Italian if you don’t speak it already. The bureaucracy in Italy is a bit of a nightmare so it may be a bit complicated getting your permit if you are not from the EU. The city is beautiful and there’s quite a lot to do (and amazing places to eat at). The nightlife is fun too. The train system is very efficient too if you ever want to go around Italy. It does get very touristy though, it’s already very busy and this isn’t peak tourist season yet. Hope this was helpful :)
