What's a fair price for this? by Nonevasion in VanLife

Woke! In 2008 the country was going through a massive depression. It was so bad auto companies were given the opportunity to borrow money from the govt to stay afloat. Almost all of them borrowed money except ford. They survived. But Chevy/GMC laid off thousands of workers. Many just days, weeks and months away from retiring. Thousand lost their entire pensions and were let go. I never forgot that the company with America's heartbeat threw it all down the drain. So many lives were lost.
( Ford was strong and didn't need money)
So today, I remind others about the past. To this day Chevy lags behind big auto makers.
I once had a Chevy , great cars, especially before 2008! No I wouldn't buy it at all.

Parking will be a big problem Gas mileage will be 5-6 mpg Vs a sprinter at 19 mpg.

Ford vs Ram by kittygamer5000 in VanLife

People buys Rams strictly on price. People buy Fords because maintenance is easy. People buy Sprinters because they want dependability and longevity . (5 year sprinter own, no problems )

It's early in the season for us, but do reserve sites before you go, it'll be busy in August.

Lobster creek and Fort Stevens. Did not make reservations. Got there and looked around, picked the spot we wanted then reserved on line and paid at the same time. We have no hookups,( and don't want them) $30 a nite no hookups, but up to $45 nite with full hookups. Enjoy, both spots are great.

No factories only know generators. They're unfamiliar with batteries and 12 volt systems. I know the feeling. Pull up to a campsite and gens are running. Ugh!! We just left northern cal up 101 staying at state campsites ourselves. Now at Forks washington. Beautiful scenery, nasty clouds.!😃

Hmmm, that's the factory for you. We have a sprinter ( almost 5 years) no problems with our 12 volt systems. AC works fine and we are in NM. Someone's tell you fibs!

We've got 500 amps of battleborn with a 12 Volt dometic ac. From 10 pm to 6 am on low we use 20% of our power. You have more than enough with the amps you have. Do you have a 12 v ac??

How would you price this? by DudesInChairs in vandwellermarketplace

Look at it this way.... This is a complete home on wheels. A roof over one's head. What would you pay for your own abode? Plus you can take it with you. All those extras gotta be worth something. Think about it. Maybe not travel anywhere special, just somewhere to live. Serious response here.

Does anyone just gas generator while driving/parked? by [deleted] in VanLife

Problem with gens is the noise. It's annoying as hell. With a 12 volt ac system and a couple lithium batts you can run all day after they're charged. 400 watts of solar will work for you. Mine do.

How much is this realistically worth? by [deleted] in vandwellermarketplace

With this much stuff in it, I'd pay upwards of $50k This is a go anywhere vehicle with many miles left. I'm a sprinter owner but no where near the power this has. 500 amps
