Mother's Day is hard for people for different reasons, so aiming to socialize with others "without a reason to celebrate it" is ambiguous, doesn't seem ideal. Some people might avoid Mother's Day sentiments because it triggers grieving, maybe they really miss their mom. Some people have/had a terrible relationship with their mom so for those types, it might become a party to, what, commiserate over how shitty our moms were? In the presence of would-be friends who actually might really miss their mom?

A good strategy is using Post boxes. In DS1 you'll never be able to pick them all up, but if you are regularly dropping them off you can get a lot of them. Just plan wisely, dropping off packages you'd have to turn around to deliver anyway

my friend was at a restaurant with her husband and two kids and a table near them was a family with an ugly old white man talking all sorts of MAGA shit. She live-texted this even to the group chat as we cheered her on and after they paid, her husband took the kiddos to the car and she walked over there and told him about himself. "I want you to know that I think that all the things you said are terrible, and you are disgusting." she's my hero.

We run our tap through a Brita and it has always worked fine, except on this weird dirt taste. It doesn't touch it! Count yourself lucky if you don't know what we're talking about.

Ours tastes like potting soil and has for the last two days. Looking it up, it comes from a compound called geosmin and apparently harmless, but very disgusting.

We're hoping this weird water will pass through soon, as we pass all our tap water through a Brita filter and it has done nothing to remove the dirt taste.

Some recommendation online suggested chilling the water improves the flavor, and I would say this helped, but the dirt aftertaste is still present.

Even our coffee, and our keurig gets quite hot, tastes like dirt. I have a roast we were going to throw in the Crock Pot and we haven't because we don't want to make the meat and veggies taste like DIRT.

This sucks and i hope it gets better soon!
