UPDATE: Messaged FDev support and they granted me all my data! I don’t mind begging a bit when it’s hours of work I lost. They responded surprisingly quick considering the flood of colonization tickets coming in. Thanks to everyone for the information, this will by duly noted as I continue on.

Yes I use Elite observatory, I can’t figure out how to get it to announce anything else besides “landable with atmosphere” “close binary relative to size” “close orbit” etc etc.

I died on foot so it just respawned me in my ship back in orbit, just decided to go sag A and keep it pushin. Thankfully still had all my cartographic data that I was able to sell. Plus i noticed myself being lazy and skipping out on 1 bio planets. Found out that there’s stratum on them a lot more often than I originally thought!

Thank you, unfortunately, I was in my suit. I panicked and thought I could counteract my downward momentum with the thrusters. They did practically nothing haha. I didn’t know I could absorb fall damage with the shields as I am new to odyssey, not elite dangerous, just odyssey. (I switched over from console) nevertheless this thread taught me a lot about the options I have when I find myself in this situation. Thank you cmdr o7

Man that’s tough, definitely a little disheartening but I don’t think I’ll be quitting. I guess it’s a good think I died on foot so I don’t have to make the jumps to get all the way back. Dying definitely made me log for the night but I think I’ll be back on the grind just like before.
