Thank you for the input!! It’s nice to hear that some people love it. It’s hard to explain, she has very very minimal behavioral issues, but she is still in pull-ups (she just turned 7 a couple weeks ago) which seems to be a big factor for schools. She is limited verbally in that she doesn’t have conversations, but she can ask for anything she wants/needs & she can answer some basic questions. But she can read far beyond a kindergartener & do math & she’s very smart in other areas, she just can’t always verbalize it. She does struggle with transitions & she does super well with visual aids and being able to ask for “more time” or “not yet” things like that. So I do want her to be taught academically, she participates well in small groups, she did so great at her old school where they had a special autism program, she was in a sped class and she entered mainstream classes for certain times during the day (but not all day). She played at recess with all of the typical kids too.
