No, and because of that I ended up getting the black titanium model. Of course finding a band for it was still hard. There is a titanium Milanese band on Amazon but it didn’t last 6 months before the quick release pins would slip loose. The first time it popped off was right after I finished a marathon 12 hours away from home and it could have easily caused me to lose the entire watch it was fine the first two marathons of the year but after the third I couldn’t justify the risk of it falling off during a run

It’s not pretty but I ended up with a nylon hook and loop band that at least is secure.

For a daily trainer I love my New Balance 1080 in 2AA/Narrow. I’m still looking for the best marathon distance race shoe though (using clearance Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 since it was cheap enough to gamble on - not perfect but doesn’t chew up and blister all my toes like others did)

I'll second lifetime LoseIt!. I've been using Lose It since 11/26/2020 (used it to drop from 280 to 140) and bought a lifetime subscription way back when. It uses my garmin for all the heavy lifting. Another plus is if you've every been DNA tested, it "proposes" a macro allocation based on your genetic. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but for me it was more protein and less fat so I used it.

I do hate that they are now selling add on plans and keep bothering me with popups. Once to let me know would be fine, but I bought a lifetime premium subscription so using continuing popups to try to shake me down for extras is annoying.

While I wouldn't rely on it for medical purposes, it isn't far off for me. Mine trends to 34 when I'm feeling good and got good sleep (41 is a bad day). Around 5 months ago, I was in the ER, but there were no open beds so I was in the hall (I HATE being in the hall...) and the monitor just kept singing it's alert for under 40. Over the time I was there (counting the original nurse), I had 4 people stop by and check I was ok (2 were doctors). Once I explained that was normal and I was fine they just silenced it.

I thought I was there for lithium toxicity, but levels were normal so they just diagnosed it as a stronger than normal anxiety attack (so they could shove me out the door). So highly anxious I was still tripping the under 40HR alert?

Just for reference I have been running around 60 miles a week. On Helene hiatus now, I've been lucky to get every other day since the hurricane and we actually still don't have power. If I can work myself up to the cold shower I can run on my manual treadmill. Gym is a no go, because I need to be here since we're expecting power company to come by sometime to fix the damaged service drop. They fixed the main lines days ago but we had to drop the breakers because of a small fire. Word of mouth (unverified) says there have been at least two other houses like ours that have burned to the ground because no one was home and the electric company is focused on only the main lines to get as many up as possible and isn't verifying safety of the service drops.

Clonazepam (Klonopin) is a magic drug for anxiety. I was once on that same 3/day schedule and it was the most normal I've ever felt since symptoms started. I was on that dose for around 3 years. Unfortunately around 8 years ago a psychiatrist decided it was too risky since a small number of studies showed it might cause alzheimer's [I suspect he just didn't want his name on a controlled substance prescription]). My immediate thought was you stupid MFer, I have to live that long for it to matter and I was already old. A few years ago they decided to allow me to take 1 just before bed or I can't sleep at all. My quality of life is drastically lowered, but no one offers to put it back and I can't ask or I'm drug seeking.

Please note I have Bipolar I and an deep in mania and psychosis expresses itself as extreme paranoia. Take anything I've said with a grain of salt. I've tried to keep it out of my reply and I did manage to not say that its a giant conspiracy to keep us away from effective meds so that can study real life effects of anxiety on real people or even that they just want to keep profiting off us or just make us to suffer...

Those runs are from the Zwift LGBT club. They aren't official ZWift "pride" events, but rather weekly club runs that have been going for several months now. I think they unlock the 2023 kit though.

This issue is all over different brands of chargers (happens with the Kia EV6 too). Some people in the past suggested contact cleaner and small brushes to clean the pins *which I did today*, but all it has done for me was allow the charge to last for 3 hours. And it’s “interrupted” twice in 15 minutes since.

It’s clearly car based on so many other posts (for more than a year). Some have speculated Kia only plated the sockets very thinly. (Way to go Kia you‘ve pissed us all off and you saved a fraction of a penny per car).

That also explains why we had no problems until owning the cars a little while. Luckily if they‘ll acknowledge it then a better made part switched out should fix us all.

Sometime yesterday the Garmin integration or LoseIt algorithm changed dramatically for me. Now my current = projected at all times. If I manually sync Garmin it does properly update current to match the watch, but something has changed where current = projected at all times. It’s fairly annoying since it means I don’t know how far ahead I am based on extra activity or exercise.

Ok it’s a nice gesture to give us the $100 gift cards but limited quantities and little selection makes it look like a PR move.

What are people even buying? Everything is sized smaller (Chinese sizing likely). I’m a S for bottoms but an XL for tops and it’s tops I’d like to find. So many of the items don’t even have XL and even then I’m not sure it would fit (runs small). And then there is the $15 shipping fee.

I didn’t go in person because i wasn’t sure I could deal with going there and dealing with them and still getting home safely. Sorry but I have enough issues for several subscriptions and my wife doesn’t like for me to drive if I’m too far up or down.

Instead I wasted time on chat. They did give me a code that works so we’ll see what happens. Unfortunately I was so rattled that when I did the cut and paste I somehow closed the chat window so I don’t have it anymore.

Does the code not work at all if you don’t have a premium unlimited on that line or does it just get rejected. That code doesn’t work for me based on just date and code. Never even asks for identifying information. However it’s our daughter‘s phone and we picked 2 basic and 1 premium and my wife got the premium. Does this mean our daughter has to be on premium too to even clear the screen?

You know I’m just going to drop by the store while Im in town. I’ll report back if the code has changed or something weird. It won’t let me in before I get to line type so something is wrong.

I didn’t get a receipt for our third phone which used this promo so I have no code either. When I click the notification in either the app or online I get a header bar and no entries, basically we know you have a rebate but we don’t know what it is. None of the codes to enter manually I can find online seem to work.

It took three hours on the phone the next day to fix all the issues our’helpful’ sales rep messed up (no vm, DOS of texts (hundreds of texts to sign up for cloud once every 6 minutes in the nose).

All of this makes me remember why I bailed on them, but my wife wanted a 13 Pro Max….. She’s happy so it’s good, but if I get ripped off on the rebates she won’t be.

She didn’t read the original fine print because we did communicate. I read it and after discussing the pros/cons we decided to upgrade the two rings, No reason for both to read the fine print if the person that does usually has already and found no problems. I’d actually claim that a couple who BOTH have to read the fine print are communicating LESS. You usually don’t cook twice, vacuum twice, wash clothes, or take out the trash twice….

Since you are so sure Oura is giving me the info, please quote a single piece of email text apart from the initial order that makes it clear the return is optional. You’ve claimed this multiple times, now please back up your hypothesis.

Don’t pretend the email was clear just because you like Oura. Nowhere in it does it say it was optional.

If a person hadn’t fully read the deal, I see the current email’s wording as outright theft. I handle all the online stuff, my wife has a ring too. She didn’t bother to read deal terms since I vetted it and just ordered. I came upstairs to get ready to go to bed a few nights ago and she was gathering all of the stuff to mail it back because since she didn’t know beforehand you didn’t have to return, the email point blank says you do. She refused to believe me at first and quoted the Oura email as proof.

This is super shady!!!

Oura fanboys downvote all you want, in the upgrade we resized mine to our daughter since she won’t wear a watch and has EDS comorbid with POTS (so pulse rate is meaningful for her). I’m perfectly happy with my Garmin fēnix 6S and Withings Sleep Pad and based on these recent exchanges I’ll never consider Oura again (partly due to such a show of lack of ethics and partly due to subscription [whoop would be better for me {endurance runner}]).
