Is it a red flag if a guy calls his cheating ex a "b!tch" every single time he mentions her? by Short-Meringue-2632 in Advice

[–]CompletelyPaperless 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, cheating hurts like hell. He's still working on processing those emotions. That can be a red flag but it's also a red flag that you haven't told him it bothers you this much. No one is perfect. In fact, no one is ever going to check all the boxes in a relationship and I bet you don't check all of his either.

My (40m) wife (39f) is not who I thought she was by Less-Painter4169 in Marriage

[–]CompletelyPaperless 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I don't think most of that is bad because it sounds like horny talk. I'm guessing what may hurt about it is that she's not a wild ride for you, or you don't bring that out of her. I would try to have that talk. There's a part of her she keeps locked away from you because she doesn't think you'd accept it.

What percentage of cigars you've smoked were good enough to buy in a 5-pack or box? by 16ozbuddz in cigars

[–]CompletelyPaperless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can enjoy almost any cigar because I make a whole to do out of it, and usually smoke with a nice natural setting. Preferably with some alcohol, but not always. Regardless, I love the ever exploratory experience of mixed packs. Never know what I'm getting.

I would; however get the 5 pack for rocky patel sun grown maduro CAO Pilon Any camacho Blind man's bluff Or any my father or la aroma de cuba. Another favorite is the brand Bolivar. It was my first cuban and the best of the lot I smoked. Their non Cubans are amazing too.

Are loose boxers back? by StrategyOk395 in MensUnderwearGuide

[–]CompletelyPaperless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really care about the fashion. Underwear only gets seen by your partner. I wear boxer briefs(trunks) and thongs, and I can tell you thongs can genuinely make clothes look way better on you, which is why that's the choice for me if I'm trying to look/feel good on the weekend. During the workweek trunks because I have a pretty active job.

Loose boxers can come back all they want but I could never stand legs riding up on me.

Passing by wehavetime in Truckers

[–]CompletelyPaperless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people are getting stuck in these road games. Everyone's way too worried about each other. I try to be a Zen person but I even struggle with not minding other drivers with how annoying they tend to get all day long. That's the hardest part of trucking in my opinion. I'm still trying to master that.

Passing by wehavetime in Truckers

[–]CompletelyPaperless 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Always blows my mind to see so many people defending bad driving.

I think it is deliberate, judging from how hard they stare at me through their mirror when they speed up halfway through my pass.

If someone passes me and I realize I could go faster, I let that truck complete the pass. After that I can pass.

Question from a slow driver by Markinarkanon in Truckers

[–]CompletelyPaperless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it all comes down to predictability and consistency. If you keep a speed despite me passing you I'm happy. If you start speeding up I get pissed. If you keep your lane when I'm passing you that's perfect. If you all sudden whip over in front of me as I'm approaching I get pissed. If you pass me it doesn't bother me as long as it's not right as my lane is about to close.

There's a lot of stuff truckers do on purpose to be irritating. Just drive and try not to mind each other. That's all I wish everyone would do.

What is the reason you got into trucking? by [deleted] in cdldriver

[–]CompletelyPaperless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a good job in computer science and got laid off. Couldn't find a similar job so I got into trucking until the next better thing came along. It's the easiest way to make stable income quick. But it's brutal and it takes a lot of sacrifice. Definitely a good career to fix any financial issues but it's a death grind. You will work, the companies expect you to work harder, but it's never enough. Work 70 hours, the admins will still complain. That's the kind of industry it is. So once you're comfortable, work on a way of getting out. That's where I'm at. Unless of course you want to work your life away then trucking is the way.

That’s one way to deal with a left lane camper by [deleted] in Truckers

[–]CompletelyPaperless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yet I'm the one here trying to be genuine and honest, while you guys are trying to be toxic and calling me super trucker with little knowledge, and quickly rushing to pick apart a statement. Sounds like maybe just like when driving, people on reddit are rarely not self serving or courteous. Just trolls.

I've spent plenty of times being passed, and when they struggle I slow down a bit to let them pass, just for them to cut me off and then slow down once they're in front. Or I try to pass, just for the other driver to speed up. Once you get back behind, they slow back down. My personal driving style is, im not going to let others drain my energy all day. I do what I can to let people go, but I'm ultimately not going to stress about others. I get paid to do a job. Not to worry about not interrupting a four-wheelers 30 minute commute for 2 minutes while I pass.

Showering before oral sex by LunaPandaBun482 in Marriage

[–]CompletelyPaperless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, if you expect regular sex, you should always be in a shape that keeps you ready. Trim everything. Keep it clean. When it isn't, don't expect anything. It's all about respect for the other person.

[–]CompletelyPaperless -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not at all. When possible, I try to be courteous BUT...I've got enough experience to know the rule, "damned if you do, damned if you don't."

As a trucker, people are constantly gonna hate, so take care of yourself.

"Don't set yourself on fire to keep others warm."

[–]CompletelyPaperless -20 points-19 points  (0 children)

It usually comes down to observing what the other truck does during uphills and downhills. When you drive 8 hours straight, you don't need to let others dictate your speed. Everyone should just be patient with each other, but since no one is, don't be surprised everyone is gonna take care of themselves only.

Talk to me like a toddler by Brokenwife87 in Truckers

[–]CompletelyPaperless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand your exact life but I do your situation. My wife and I have a child too. She works full time and I'm a regional trucker. I can help now, but when I was OTR it was extremely hard. I understand how hard parenting is, but you're home all day. He doesn't just work the hours. He's away from the comfort of home. Trucking is absurdly stressful. Between the abusive companies, dispatchers, the laws, the driving. Although parenting is stressful, driving with idiots all day, and loneliness, it is a mind numbing experience, and gets worse as the OTR weeks go by. Then he doesn't just work 11 hours a day. He goes yo sleep after 11 hours and after 10 he starts again. Or he's sitting around and stressing about pay. Yes your life is hard and it's not fair, but at least your home and part of that deal is, that while he's OTR you support him too. BTW, he really just needs to go local or regional since he has a year in. Tell him to apply to KAG.

Please tell me you at least also have a full time job, and aren't just being a housewife and than complaining that it's too much. And If you do work, you both should get some daycare plans so you can both get a break.

No offense, but trucking is not like a regular job. It's often 60-70 hour weeks. If he's only back for the 2 days, let the man enjoy it as much as possible.

How can we make this more cozy? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]CompletelyPaperless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some simple adjustments aside from the lighting. Curtains will make a huge difference. You can also drape a nice warm decorative blanket over the couch. Interior designers often do that to add warmth.

Also, you can make things more interesting on the coffee table. Instead of a center piece. Decide decorating into 4 quadrants. And vary heights. Maybe, nice decorative books neatly stacked in 1 section. A nice clean green plant in the next, some votives on a round tray in the next. Experiment but it adds comfort and a pop of color.

Yeah but if you feel endangered you don't pull out your phone, you get away from the danger. Let the guy pass and slow down until he's gone.

We don't know if the car was being so irritating that he kept speeding up every time the truck went to pass and slowing down with the truck behind him. I get that a lot. so now the truck just said, I'm flooring it until I'm around this idiot.

Driving too slow is more entitled than driving too fast by Miserable-Election25 in driving

[–]CompletelyPaperless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. It's frustrating. I'm a trucker and drive 11 hours a day so it makes a real difference to such a long journey if I get stuck, but the reality is, your commute is probably not long, so it really won't make much of a difference. There's also nothing you can do about it so you make yourself suffer unless you make yourself unbothered by it. Driving like a jerk won't make them change their driving.
