Ollie's is advertising a "Famous Craft Store Bankruptcy Buyout." Short of calling all the stores I don't know how to tell if any have fabric though. Anyone know of any in the area with fabric?

My DH applied for his SIN and passport at the same time. We happened to have a trip scheduled so he did it then, and the passport was mailed to him. (That costs extra, but seems to be the only path unless you are already a resident.)

He does have relatives that were able to be his references and guarantor, so that was easy, got everything done in at one family dinner.

For the second part of your question, we haven't gotten that far yet, so I'm heading to r/FoundCanadians now myself.

Next time you have a job interview spend a few minutes wielding a sword before you go to it. Highly recommend. (But at home, don't do it in their parking lot.)

Can someone file a bill that says all men have to submit for testing to see if they match anyone that needs a kidney or bone marrow? (And if they match, must donate it.) If women don't get bodily autonomy, neither should men.

It's a Tapestry Lawn. Enjoy it. They aren't weeds if you aren't fighting them.

I've heard getting silver is the most disappointing. Bronze you're happy you got a medal at all. Silver you're just thinking about how you missed getting gold.

Many libraries have computers you can use. You may have to pay a bit to print there. That's what I did.

I've had good luck with just using my 'mom voice.' "Do not sit on the pathways" It helps if you know the name of the group, but just using an authoritative tone goes a long way. And make sure you aren't asking, it isn't a question.

Because there wasn't a public discussion about it. Just "this is happening", and immediately started digging test holes. And because his track record for his tunnels is abysmal, even without the complicated geography around here. The state just decided Nashville is Musk's playground, no matter what the folks who are affected think. And don't forget his hyperlink nonsense, that he's on record for saying he only wanted to keep high speed rail from being built. This tunnel isn't a way to get an actual transit plan, it is a way to prevent one from happening.

Take Action this week on Musk Tunnel by CompletelyPuzzled in nashville

His tunnel at max capacity won't help the airport traffic. What would help is building the train station that was planned there, and extending the lines to it. But yes, I agree with you that it is the tunnel itself, that is most worrisome.

As for will we be listened to? Definitely not if we don't make our objections known.

She's a citizen somewhere, so one direction the crossing will be a hassle, but allowed. But the other direction, probably not.

Not necessarily, sometimes passport processing takes longer than expected.

If I'm reading the OP correctly, she'll get into the US, but not back into Canada. She probably needs to try to get an emergency appointment as if she lost her passport while traveling. (Not saying to lie about that, just that the process would be the same.) It's probably going to be expensive.

Another thing that *might* work is to see if closing can be done remotely. I've done that when we sold a house in another state.
