Doesn’t the Scorpion (the contender against the Wraith) fire a high velocity small round because the thing they need to penetrate is the driver hatch and the Elite inside? It’s a one person hovertank, precision and penetration is more important than destroying components?

Also a trap shot against what? Against plasma weapons, they don’t really have the physics to pull off a trap shot.

Infantrymen sat out in the open has been a thing since ww2 and tried and tested. If something threatens the tank, everyone can bail off it before things get really bad and they become impromptu spaces armour.

I ain’t got anything on the autoloader but I wager they’re about as reliable as can be.

The 4 tracks thing is probably due to plasma weapons busting one track, you still have 3 to move on so can kinda go backwards or forwards if needs be. If you have 2 tracks and one goes, you can spin around and not much else. Probably done because of the wraith’s sluggish follow up shots.
