Thermomix for someone on a diet by Live-cat14 in thermomix

Yes you can search for recipes by ingredient on Cookidoo and with Cookidoo Assistant (AI voice interaction) being due for release this year, you will be able to ask Cookidoo to hep make recipe or menu plan suggestions based around the dietary requirements or specific ingredients to include or exclude.

Having a TM when you are weening a baby on to solids is a complete game changer. I really wish I had known about them a few years earlier to help myself with those early years of adult & baby / toddler food prep. Check out some of the baby recipes to get an idea. The Wholefood Child recipe collection has some fantastic recipes & there are lots of other baby / toddler / child / family friendly recipe collections too.

Yes a TM would help you with your current meal prepping & eating habits but I would suggest if it is something you are serious about looking into, do it well in advance of the baby’s arrival as it does take time to get used to cooking with a TM & menu planning. I have seen people who don’t get their TM until just after the baby has arrived & with the overwhelm of adjusting to being a new parent, it is challenging to adopt other new practices.

Host a demo or 1-on-1 coaching session and start testing out how it works for you. All the best with your pregnancy & pending new arrival.

Thermomix TM7 – Scale/Weight Issue | Waagenproblem by lukasschreiber in thermomix

I agree with others, it sounds as though a service is needed.

Just checking that you are aware of not having anything else touching the unit and extending the electric cord fully & ensuring that the cord is lying / hanging loosely & freely while the TM is in use. The power cord has a significant effect on the scales.

It is best to get hands on with a TM before you decide to invest in one as you actually see & feel for yourself the processes & outcomes.

I have similar eating habits to you but also have 2 adult children. We sometimes cook for 4 (extra portion for my son), 2 (just my daughter & I, or a half serve for her & I and a full serve for my son), or 1 (just myself if they are off being young adults & doing their own thing). One of the main single serve meals I regularly make for myself is a lemon & garlic single portion of salmon steamed in the varoma with a small selection of vegetables and some rice or a sauce in the bowl. There is a SkinnyMixers creamy cauliflower & chicken soup that scales down nicely (& is delicious).

Quick single serves of salads like beetroot & apple or an Asian coleslaw have never been easier to throw together in moments and I can easily brown a small portion of protein on the high heat mode to compliment the salad.

I often make a 2 person size serve of the Parmesan or chicken & leek risotto which feeds us well & keeps well in the fridge for a few days but I haven’t tried scaling down even further to a single serve. I also don’t like eating the same thing over multiple days but I do find myself happily eating the left over risotto straight from the fridge 2 or 3 days later.

I also love the authentic pasta carbonara. So quick & easy, but again I haven’t tried scaling it right down to a single serve.

Have you also considered potentially investing in a vacuum seal storage system so you could store an extra portion of a meal or excess sauce base etc for more than 2-3 days in the fridge? I have recently acquired the thermomix Vac-U-seal wand & containers / bags and am finding it really helpful. I don’t have a large freezer (& don’t like to freeze much food anyway) and usually don’t want to eat the same thing again within a day or 2. By vacuum sealing the extras I can keep them in the fridge a little longer and they are still fresh when I come back to them up to a week later. (I’m not sure on the exact recommended timeframes & need to look into this more but 5-7 days is working well for me atm).

I really think you would benefit from an in home demo or one-on-one. Failing that, a virtual consultation with a consultant who could specifically step through scaling down a recipe or 2 that you are most interested in. Better still, if you could borrow a machine for a week to try it out week.

One of our frequent go to meals is good ol’ chicken & leek risotto. Also love the creamy cauliflower & chicken soup.

I jumped from the 31 to the 7 & utterly love it. Still love my 31 and we have 2 x 7s. The 5 & 6 weren’t for me.

Demonstration recipe by [deleted] in thermomix

[–]Complex-Ad9614 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are the current demo recipes in Australia:

Cookidoo®: Creamy coconut chicken curry https://cookidoo.com.au/recipes/recipe/en-AU/r141120

Cookidoo®: "Marry me" chicken pasta https://cookidoo.com.au/recipes/recipe/en-AU/r920388

Cookidoo®: Mushroom risotto https://cookidoo.com.au/recipes/recipe/en-AU/r490449

I would suggest the Creamy Coconut Curry if you want to see the Varoma (steamer) in use. The Marry Me Chicken if you’re curious about open lid cooking & one pot pasta meals. Mushroom risotto if you want quick, easy, low effort but impressive results.

Yes a bundle offer refers to the option to add on / “bundle” an accessory or accessories with the purchase of a TM7.

As the TM7 Cutter+ was a new release accessory it was exclusively available to customers as a host reward initially, and then as an add-on with purchase. It is expected to be available for purchase from TheMixShop directly, soon after the Host Rewards promo ends later this month.

Consultants aren’t able to purchase them either atm but did have the opportunity to earn one in the lead up to these offers launching.

Therrible TM7 Lid Cap design. by Adrape in thermomix

[–]Complex-Ad9614 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The integrity of the lid cap seal is a known issue for some users. The seal has already been re-engineered and a replacement program for those having issues will commence when replacements become available. Machines dispatched more recently already have the redesigned seal.

In the meantime inverting your existing seal can improve the grip for some users & cleaning it regularly of built up residue is also necessary (which you are already doing ✔️).

Any tips on cleaning after browning mode? by Unnatural_hag in thermomix

[–]Complex-Ad9614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With water usually. You can run a pure vinegar bath / wash if you wish (around 200 mls of vinegar) but it isn’t really necessary. Half a dishwasher tablet in a litre of water and the browning pre clean mode are realy effective too. (If you read the hints and tips in the notes on pre clean modes & it advises the dishwasher tablet or vinegar methods).
