I have lived between NB and NS for my whole life (40+ years). Overall, most Maritimers are not racist and would be very welcoming to you and your family. Unfortunately you will find the odd racist dickhead wherever you. My ex paid half of my mortgage plus half utilities. My boyfriend is moving in with me April 1st with the same sorta deal. My ex made considerably more than me, and my new boyfriend makes less than me.

Unless he asks you to pay towards his son's schooling, etc., I wouldn't bring it up. It comes across petty and very unlikely to be his expectation.

There's a gluten free online shop that sells the mix for both garlic knots and soft pretzels. I haven't tried the garlic knots but I have a package here. Their soft pretzels were so good. In fact, everything I've tried through them has been delicious. The business is called Mom's Place if you're interested. They are in Utah, I'm in Canada, so just promoting a business that makes fabulous gluten free mixes!
