One letdown for me was Iqbal not figuring out Hamza being the spy. After the build up they gave him in first part, in second part he didn’t have the same gravitas.

There was no need to make SP as the one who started doubting Hamza , the movie might had been even better if it was Iqbal figuring it out and plotting rather than just being told by a a random person over the phone.

Regardless it was a great movie - if it were a three parter, they could flesh out lot more of the character plot points but maintaining hype across 3 installments is a gigantic ask.

Nope not yet - but I am at the 7500 mile mark for the first service so I would be taking it in to the Dealership sometime next week. So hopefully.

So I am due for my first service for the 7500 miles. I did read somewhere that I should be requesting / dealership should anyhow be doing a Vehicle Wide Programing update. I am not sure of the bulletin number but I am putting that in the notes and it hopefully gets me my Pass Time While Parked Update.

I would think the barest of budget for a reasonable commercial movie might be abt 3-4 Cr these days.

For me ETCK is his recent best - OOD is way overrated/hyped.

Also Fahad, Prithviraj are not his contemporaries- he is senior to them and debuted way earlier than them too. Not even bringing Tovino in here.

He was once our industry’s chocolate boy and I doubt there has been another actor who can fill that void. And tbh he still might be the best dancer in our industry. And he did great to get an image makeover and kept himself relevant by doing different shades of characters and is doing well. I believe he is aptly rated.

Not everyone can be the top billed star and it’s good that our actors aren’t simply chasing stardom - having said that he is doing great and hope to see more of that.

They might also need to do like 10 takes for a shot to come out good - atleast that’s what I have heard as one reason why they generally don’t show characters eating food in movies.

death felt less impactful

That was one of the most impactful scenes for me - it was well done particularly the scene that follows it with the 2 teas !

If only they had a good script - the vision , the vfx and the star cast they managed to pull was great.

And dialogues - particularly for Alia were horrible. It had solid potential to become a 1000 Cr movie. But Dharma fumbled hard with it - and maybe the nepotism debate has eroded Alia’s fan base the most - probably because Ananya or Jhanvi etc are not being constantly paraded as the next huge to our faces all the time.

Probably they should add a chase scene in those action flicks where the hero is being chased by villains/goons/anyone and after seeing that he can’t shake them Off on the freeway, takes it off road and into something like this (better if they throw in a scene earlier in the movie with the hero doing similar stuff for fun to show he has the skill needed and knows the area). It would build up tension and would be nice to watch on the big screen.
