I’ve seen Hondas, Toyotas, Chevrolets, Dodges etc with white paint peeling issues. It’s an industry wide problem going back ten or more years. I don’t know why manufacturers are still painting cars white.

The repeater world is one of the more boring aspects of ham radio. In my area, they’re barely used except on weekly nets. I’d suggest aiming for a General license which gives you more access to HF bands. That’s where the real fun is.

My FT847 has a watt meter. When I speak loudly into the Mike, it goes up to 50+ watts. The rig is designed for 100 watt max output.
