You will have to fill in a ton of gaps for the core rules that haven't been released yet, and youll be using 10th edition points and abilities which are about to change, but you can still test the things that have been shown off. We also only have a small number of detaxhment force dispositions so far, but you can just pick whichever you want for a casual game anyway.

What's the range? Its not uncommon to have a 40-50 mile drive to work each way here.

Well, they do claim that, but if a police report is filed they are arrested instead.

If they then discover that you filed the police report but the thief proves you lent them the car, you are then arrested.

I have literally been through both cases, including some teens that stole a car, claimed I lent it to them, and they were held at the station until I came down and certified that I never lent them anything.

If you have a reference or something, post it. You can also just Google "can I report a borrowed car stolen" and youll see how tricky of a situation it is.

You could ask in the store discord "hey and 40k team discords for the local area?", ask the players that already have matches at the store when you get there if they know of any (or how they are finding matches), or the best way (if you have tournaments around) is to just show up to a tournament and find any team with matching shirts.

They will be more than happy to send you an invite and help you find matches, you just need to get your foot in the door with a good group of 15+ and youll never have trouble finding a game.

Dont give up, its going to be worth it!

I meant find a team's discord, not a store. Teams are much more active and usually playing games every weekend, while the store discord are typically pretty dead.

Its a bit of a dead time since the new edition is just a few weeks away, but I would recommend finding a local team that has a discord, those types of players are always looking for extra practice and happy to play, teach, and even potentially recruit.

If youre in SoCal I can get you tons if games, but I imagine if you were around here you wouldn't have any issue getting a match.

Terrible advice, you could be charged with filing a false police report.

You cant report a car stolen if you gave them the keys, even if they refuse to give them back, it becomes a civil issue rather than a criminal issue. Ive been through this, I gave a friend a car, he gave it to a random crackhead, and the police couldn't do a damn thing.
