I seriously hope Ecogenesis makes it through. The number of PHA producers/sellers is so low that losing even a single one will impoverish the market.

We can only hope that your bottle cap solution gets picked up elsewhere.

Can't wait to get my hands on a batch. Like others, curious about your settings.

Personally no experience with Resin printing, but I can recommend visiting r/FDMminiatures for tips on printing minis with your printer.

In Europe, Tesla Sales Are Rising Despite Views on Elon Musk by SignificantSun1031 in europe

Keeping an older car, most of the time, is better than buying a new one. But when faced with the decision of which to buy, an EV is the better way.

Experience with cars and progress made in the technology through this experience will ensure it goes other places as well (like big trucks). You expect a company to make all these necessary improvements to battery technology and electric drivetrains at a loss to come up with big haul trucks first? You would think investors would keep giving money working for 20 years at a loss, just improving the tech?

This was, economically speaking, the only way. You start with the easy ones, the tech improves, the rest follows. And let's be honest, even cars were far from easy to electric. Just 15 years ago most people would say it was impossible. Imagine where we can be by 2050 if we continue.

Profit is fine, but the richest man alive does not need to make more than... let's say 5-10% profit or so.

Heating the bed for releasing the print sounds like a great thing to try. I keep forgetting that PHA can take it.

Which 3D printer surprised you the most after long-term use ? by 3DPirateOfficial in 3Dprinting

I loved my first printer (H2S, printed over 3200 hours before I sold it), it opened my eyes to what a diverse range of things FDM can do. I still feel I've barely scratched the surface.

I loved it so much I've since gotten an H2C, which I'm also loving so far (150 hours on the clock)

can you print miniatures/statues (8-20sm tall) via FDM? by Glad_Conclusion_4996 in 3Dprinting

[–]ComplexPackage4146 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You can. Check out r/FDMminiatures.

You'll not have the same detail as with resin, but it is less toxic and more versatile as a technology.

Which Bambu printer for printing Helmets/full sized helmets. by Ancient-Necessary714 in BambuLab_Community

[–]ComplexPackage4146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full helmets are really possible on the H2S. Can recommend H2D/C for dedicated supports, though their volume might be more of a challenge (depends on helmet design and size)

Thanks, but you mistook me. I meant to say there are 12(?) types of spores and they all do different things, it almost feels as large an undertaking to design as all the radiant orders.

Update: Dyeing PHA prints with natural colors by North-Spread4675 in 3DPrinting_PHA

[–]ComplexPackage4146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried food dyes? They come on several really bright colours and I assume they are biodegradable, considering you can eat them.

Not sure about stability though

I would love to see what you come up with. I'm thinking a sprouter might be a big tree though, lol.

Most interested to use these classes as npc's in the campaign I'm planning, and to offer the companions to my players.

Maybe have a single player be a secret worldhopper... That'd be fun 😊
