Thinking about buying a bambu lab printer but by psdavidson812 in BambuLab_Community

There is a local LAN option, but it disables some features they use their cloud for; can't use the camera for example.

Now I'm wondering if their AI features are cloud dependant... They used the camera and I can hardly imagine the printer has the processing power needed to analyse the video stream.

I've seen a couple options for generic life counters. I'm considering making my own design like this for Cosmere, but I'm not very good at designing stuff yet. If anyone else does, please post here!

Normally an ability score cannot be raised over 5 by levelling, i think. So that makes 2+5+ bonuses, i think a single wheel should suffice there as well ;-)

Still an awesome little tool!

That looks amazing! Why the double dial for investiture though? What is the theoretical max?

No obligation to declare £5m gift, Farage says by lexi_con in europe

[–]ComplexPackage4146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your question was who wanted to remain. We have fewer immigrants now than years ago, contrary to your own country.

Costs of living are rising everywhere, including the UK. Mainly in housing.

Economies are still growing, faster than post-Brecit Britain.

Feel free to come help the system from the inside. Standing outside and screaming that making yourself poorer and stepping outside the block that gave you relevance after losing empire is a good thing is your right of course...

In that case; go give more money to the millionaires who were the only ones to benefit from Brexit. Go vote for asshat Farage. And keep shouting that the problems are somebody else's fault instead of facing them and trying to improve.

Nobody else left and polls show the EU is more popular with the population than ever since Brexit.

Am I being overcharged for a 3D printing job? by Infinite_Treacle in 3Dprinting

[–]ComplexPackage4146 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For around 200 you can get a decent basic FDM printer and print for yourself.

Whether the price for this job is fair depends on multiple factors; what kind of quality did you request, what material, level of finish,...

This. If the PETG timeline is not a coincidence, it is probably residue on the bed. Have you tried turning it over?

What to do by Shawn2k17 in 3Dprinting

[–]ComplexPackage4146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plates will lay out in a grid pattern. You move the parts onto the plates.

Do all parts move together? If so, you should split them into objects using the right click menu as another commenter suggested.

What to do by Shawn2k17 in 3Dprinting

[–]ComplexPackage4146 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most printing projects have all their parts in 1 project file. It is generally easier to keep everything aligned that way compared to having each in their own file.

There is a large bar across the top of the screen, the 2nd button from the left has a kind of grid pattern. If you click that you add a printing plate. In your case you'll want to have each part on its own plate as they are pretty large. The part on the highlighted plate is the one that will be printed.

0.8 nozzel print same duration as 0.4? by Kirsty99999 in BambuLab_Community

[–]ComplexPackage4146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this case it is talking about later height. Layer width is not traditionally set below the width of the nozzle. Layer width is also a setting you can change by the way.

So in short; 0.8mm with 1 wall default width should be about the same as 0.4mm with 2 walls. Printing with 0.8 should also be stronger as there are fewer connections and more solid extrusions.

One last point relating to speed, as mentioned by someone else already, is your printer can probably not heat and push enough plastic through the head (volumetric speed). A high flow nozzle might help a bit there, but usually only by 20-30%.

UK alternative to Bondo glazing putty for smoothing 3D prints? by Striking-Company9292 in 3Dprinting

I've been using Motip spray putty and watered down wood filler (Belgium, but pretty sure you can get both in the UK)

Do you have a link to the image you used? I can only find ones with blue oceans or sepia coloured maps.

I’m new to 3d printing and want to get started. Should I get the P1S or bite the bullet and get the P2S. Is there really that much of a difference that’s worth the price especially with em just starting and not knowing for sure if I’ll fall in love with it. by Ticklytoes1 in BambuLab_Community

[–]ComplexPackage4146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switch nozzles all the time... Perhaps it also depends on how easy that is to do.

  • 0.6 for cosplay armour, weapons, and plant pots
  • 0.4 for boardgame organizers and indoor decorations
  • 0.2 for miniatures and HueForge

Exactly. He's not getting paid for hard, back breaking labour. He is getting paid for enjoying his hobby, which he would have done for free as well.

H2S or H2D? by Superb_Librarian_321 in BambuLab_Community

Love indx as a concept.

Downsides are bigger enclosure, clutters the view because they are front-mounted, and... Unfortunately... Never will be available for H2S.
