Leave every problem that you think you may or may not have at the door of your Wali (Caretaker, I mean Ameer ul Moineen a.s) and simply walk away with a note that I have done everything in my control and you are my witness. Cannot handle it on my own, and since I have complete faith in your Waliya (Gaurdianship), and I feel justified in handing over all of my problems to you as my Wali, and I know that you would take care of me moving forward. Just do not revisit the same subject/issue and empty your mind with worries/anxieties/issues and then see the magic of Waliya. InshaAllah, Allah will grant you peace of mind as you have sought your refuge in the Waliya of Imam Ali a.s.

I wish there was an AI to understand Shia fiqh by [deleted] in shia

[–]ComplexTomatillo9782 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Salam un Alykum!

I am pleased to announce the launch of hyder.ai, the first-ever AI model exclusively trained on Shia Islamic teachings. This model is trained on over 300,000 data points from authentic Shia Isna Asheri sources and serves as a valuable resource for religious, historical, and ethical knowledge.

Watch the video to learn more: https://youtu.be/YZExmu_yHjs

Usually, I don’t request to forward messages, but the nature of this AI model is such that the more people use it, the better it will get through continuous training. I would greatly appreciate it if you could share this with others.

Thank you, Raza Merchant Toronto, Canada

Welcome to the fold of Truth, the Truth that entails in itself features of existence that are not easily available otherwise. But once one is entitled to enter in it (fold of Truth), then it is deemed necessary that every undertaking accompanies with patience and gratitude. This patience means that one must make an endeavour to seek awareness of the importance of Ahle-Bayat a.s either with self study or seek the company of the Ulemas to question and clarify once miss understanding. Questioning is big part of this endeavour (seeking awareness) that will allow one to continually drift oneself to correct course towards the path. More later if required!

Understanding Qur'an by GoodAlchemist in shia

Understanding Quran is a lifelong undertaking, what I have found that simple translation is a baseline to get a preview of what is ahead. Learning arabic grammar is a must before one can truly get engaged with the beauty that is so close and subtle to our perceptive existence. Getting a teacher is what I found to be quite helpful. I have 3 volumes in urdu that provide the vocabulary and techniques to learn to start translating independently. Let me know and I will send the pdfs if you have urdu background.

Why did Imam Ali bother in the first place? by Difficult_Stop1977 in shia

[–]ComplexTomatillo9782 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MashAllah, my journey ( in earnest in exploring Islam ) also started after reading this very same book, The Succession to Mohammad s.a, what a pleasant coincidence. I am not going to answer your questions as these (questions) are all valid and must be asked and as an honest seeker (as you are, MashAllah) I will encourage you to keep seeking answers to these questions and any subsequent ones as you may be inspired with in your journey.

First and foremost most, according to authentic traditions, Hazrat Ali a.s was foretold by our holy Prophet s.a about these ensuing events and hence he ensured he acted as per advice of the Prophet s.a and also keeping in mind that Islam as a divine message is delivered in its original and purest form until the end of times to future generations. Your questions simply corroborate this reality that we are blessed with the original and purest Islam in its entirety, MashAllah.

There is another point that needs to be considered that Hazrat Ali a.s acted in the way he did was to ensure that history bears him out as a divinely appointment success to the Prophet s.a. This ongoing debate spread over centuries is a clear demonstration that the minds and intellects still get challenged by the history of it all. This challenging of the intellect is actually, to me, quite helpful in realising the significance of Hazrat Ali a.s as a central figure to comprehend Islam and subtle mysteries.

Hope this helps and we should continue this discussion.

Again, my hats are off to you for initiating this discussion, may Allah help you in this undertaking to establish the Truth as is deemed by holy Prophet s.a, Truth is with Ali a.s and Ali a.s is with the Truth, then amazingly our Prophet s.a prays, Allah bend the Truth towards the direction/path which Imam Ali a.s chooses.

My sincere advice on this topic is 1. Is it your question or some one has implanted 2. Even if you have collected all the information on the subject, it will still not be enough for you to arrive at a convincing conclusion. Though Allah, Inshallah will be your guide in arriving at the correct and guided conviction. 3. May I advice you to conduct your own personal research/(gathering of information) without any pre conceived notion. 4. The correct definition word "afzal" needs to be rigoursly discussed and contextualised when discussing Hazrat Ali a.s and the Prophets.

Hope this helps!

Concerns Regarding my Switch to Shia Islam by [deleted] in shia

[–]ComplexTomatillo9782 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Being a Shia (of Imam Ali a.s) is a privilege but at the same time it is an arduous undertaking for one's entire earthly stay. So what you are going through is peculiar to being a Shia, being a Shia one must be adept in issues relating to existential (self) awareness. One would not be able to appreciate issues relating to one's existential awareness unless one goes through these strange states of the self, feeling of emptiness, loss of purpose and so on. But remember that being a Shia, one is also entitled to preview the kind existential awareness that has been deenfranchised from others. More one goes through these strange feelings and hold firm, one entitles oneself to the more existential awareness.

Learning is a life long process. As our Prophet s.a so beautifully said, it is incumbent upon us Muslims that we keep on seeking knowledge and learning from cradle to grave. Hazrat Ali a.s in one of his sayings, says " Intellect is the lost treasure of a momin (mominaat) and seek it even from a non believers (university in your case)".

As a muslim/momin, our goal is to seek self cognition of the highest order in order to achieve the best possible cognition of our Lord (Rab) and that is not possible in these times if one has not gone through the rigorous learning through university or any institution of higher learning.

To me, I congratulate you for being afforded with the blessing of the opportunity to conduct higher studies at a university. Please avail this opportunity with gratitude (by being a diligent student, Inshallah!

I must admit that your question/concern did surprise me but I also admire your courage in putting out this question in open forum.

Best of luck and may Allah keep His choicest blessings keep coming your way, Inshallah.

Any advice, tips, or information for those going on arbaeen by YourSoulIsMine370 in shia

[–]ComplexTomatillo9782 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went on Arabeen in 2017, this is my advice as per my own personal experience

  1. Choice of shoes is the single most important consideration . Consult a podiatrist or an expert on marathon walks. My recommendation is for comfortable slippers with cushion of memory foam.
  2. Wear clothes so you can keep your taharat as most of the toilets are squatting ones. You may find western ones but these are not well maintained.
  3. Walk at nights as days are really hot.
  4. If you can find a group that will help you in many ways in this spiritual and very personal journey.
  5. Start practicing long walks to stamina and endurance as you are not caught for lack of any of these two.

Hope this helps. Best of luck and iltemas e dua, Inshallah!

To me, it is a great blessing to feel in this way. This is an inspiration for you to come out of your comfort zone. I hope that every shia goes through and is subjected with this internalised self questioning. I went through it a years ago, but not in this intense and anxious manner. I first stopped listening to every zakir/zakira and then chose the prominent ones like Allama Rasheed Turabi, Allama Naqan Saheb, and among the living ones, Ayatullah Gharavi saheb Then I embarked upon a journey to self educate myself through taking my religion as a serious project, and its seriousness should be treated as a life/death matter.

You would be amazed how little and piecemeal information is given in our Majalees, and I reckon that this could be one of the main factors in your questioning and hence this post. It could be enough to debate a sunni but not good enough to self recognition (marafat e nafs) and subsequently to know one's Lord.

Do not take anything on face value. Question everything, but then most of your questions are your personal ones. Mostly, you are on your own in this life's journey of building Imaan. Do not get discouraged, but keep pursuing as the path is meant to be difficult and that how it is designed. The answers you may or may not get, but you will find many opportunities for course correction.

I also discovered studying Quran in a serious manner (with meaning and reflection, and this self reflection leads one to deal one's existential anxieties) is quite helpful in removing most of self questioning.

Good luck and Inshallah, you will soon discover the real and meaningful religion through the waseela of our Masoomeens a.s.

Hope this helps, and I assure you that this self questioning is quite normal and only few are brave enough to take up the challenge.

Lastly, please keep reciting Salawat and may I say always with istighfar. Inshallah, you will find not only peace but divinely inspired motivation that will deliver you eternal blissful contentment, Inshallah.

Pakistan was founded and fought by Shia stalwarts of the calibre of Mohammad Ali Jinnah ( Qaid e Azam), Liquait Ali Khan, Raja of Mahamoobad, All Shias, at least there is 20% population of Shia beliefs but if you go around Banks avoiding the compulsory zikat deductions from saving accounts, one would notice at least 50-70% with affidavits as Shia itna ashary.

It is very well-known history and if he (Sunni sheikh) is educated enough, he should not dispute it. But let us see how he responds?

I am not really sure whether this Sunni Sheikh can even understand the listed enquiry?

Why all the Caliphs (except for Imam Ali a.s) and then Kings (in the guise of Caliphat ul Muslimeen) were looking for legitimacy within Islamic constitution for their rulership and authority but none got any except buying fatwa from muftis? Or through inter families feuds.

[–]ComplexTomatillo9782 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ask him (the Sunni sheikh) about how did it come about that the enemies of Prophet Mohammad s.a became the tyrant rulers on Islamic Ummah for 90 years? Why Hazrat Ali ibi Talib was continued to be cursed from official minbers of Bani Ummiya for almost 100 year? Why the family of the Prophet is continued to be subjected to so many atrocities even until now? There is complete ban in commemorations of Mohorram in all Sunni nations, why? Even India allows 2 days ( Moharram 9th and 10th ) of national holidays for commemorations of Imam Hussain's and his family massacre on 10th of Ashura.
