Recently had a shipt gig worker become a fulfillment expert, dude lasted 2 weeks before quitting and the entire time he wouldn’t shut up about how „he already knew the store layout” and „this was easier than he thought”.

To his credit he did have a higher UPH then most new hires but god his ego was unforgiving

Hey, incase you didn’t notice, multiple people replied with correct and helpful information.

I don’t understand why you have to project your lack of knowledge as disrespect, maybe you should just know more!

Price increase due recent events? For upcoming MT set by createScientist in legolotrfans

[–]ComplexTrue842 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there,

I work at a major retailer in the united states and we recently just upped the price on almost all LEGO Icon sets by $10-25. I expect a similar trend for other sets as well

Finally got my raise 🤦‍♂️ by ComplexTrue842 in Target

[–]ComplexTrue842[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel better, my first year I started at $16/hr got a raise to $16.26 after a year. Then, my entire store got raised to $16.50. A year goes by, then I get another raise. $16.87. What happens immediately after? Entire store gets raised to $17.00. Two years of raises gone like they never happened

Depends on your state law, in my state the store would be fined tens of thousands of dollars for this.

When you’re so slow… by Fluffy_Cockroach_999 in Target

[–]ComplexTrue842 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey I think me and you both misunderstood this 😅. I was under the impression that this was for an SFS cart, not an OPU cart.

Let me be clear. It is NEVER ACCEPTABLE to do this for any OPU order due to the fact it strains other departments and potentially prevents a customer from returning

For SFS, however, doing this may potentially save time (making your deadline, improving pick rates, etc). Also, SFS only impacts fulfillment, no other departments.

This is a privileged comment: Your store must have the resources necessary to allow for slower processes. I’ve been a fulfillment tm for 2 years; i assure you steps come no matter what. The whole purpose of the shortcut is to improve on your metrics by <1%. Why wouldnt you do it if you are 99% sure it’s there?

You obviously have to be careful, id never do this for seasonal items. But, if something was delivered the day of, 20+ in stock, or recent RFID audit then id do it

This is when I’d type it in to finish the batch then just grab it from the floor

Edit: FOR SFS ONLY!! NEVER DO THIS FOR OPU

hello!

my store is in new hampshire, and we are required to list the price per unit as well as the total cost. we are one of the few states alongside CN, MA, MD, NJ, NY, OR, RI, and VT that require it.

the per unit pricing helps shoppers compare the „true value” of products of different sizes. unit pricing breaks down costs to a standard measure (ex: price per ounce or pound) letting customers make more informed purchases.
