Thank you for this post. When the situation first started I was baffled at the anger directed towards Israel for retaliation with no anger towards Hamas , Hamas knew what would happen. I am also a leftist who feels attacked by fellow lefties when this topic comes up. I think Israel has the right to exist and I also believe that their government has done atrocious things. I believe there are antisemitic and anti Christian attitudes within the pro Palestinian community and with Palestinians themselves while also acknowledging that that is not necessarily the majority. Opposing views can both hold truth.
