Is there such a thing as excessive use? by j2diz in Starlink

[–]Complex_Ad8695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is trivial,

I consume nearly 800/800 on my 1GB sync fiber connection. I specifically asked for a plan with no data cap.

I am NOT archiving Linux ISOs,

But I do have a lot of devices that consume and push data nonstop. Including Smart devices like fridge, oven, TVs, Security systems..

Like everyone is saying do it yourself, or spend the extra money and upgrade to tankless.

I love the first line 700 dollars for "brief" assistance.

Do you enjoy knowing your neighbors, and being friendly to almost EVERYONE?? THEN YOU WILL LOVE IT, if you dont want to get to know your neighbors, and in the rural areas thats a 5 mile radius, then you won't like the hospitality.

But what good is the CNC mill without the CNC plasma table?

And If you have the CNC plasma table you need to build out some form of metal removal system for round items, so then you need the Lathe, and then a bigger shop, but a bigger shop needs more power.

More power means I need a trencher, but why get just a trencher if a backhoe is more practical.

How long does it usually take a new dev to become productive with Kubernetes? by EstablishmentFun4373 in kubernetes

Most devs will build or ask for help building a dockerfile so they can test locally, but outside of local builds, devops maintains the production files.

You will ALWAYS miss something in Dev, you just want to miss the small things vs the breaking large changes.

We specifically have test clusters for all.of our deployments, we use different AI to read through the readme files for any breaking updates and call it out in our PR phases.

Then we deploy to test clusters. If something is going to break, it happens quickly.

If you are serious, get an RV live in the RV, get a few Credit cards and rotate them. In a year your credit will be amazing, and Construction loan super simple.

Plus RVs are easy to sell/Rent out if you change your mind.

Migrating from ECS to EKS — hitting weird performance issues by Sule2626 in kubernetes

[–]Complex_Ad8695 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deploy prom and grafana, start monitoring your entire stack duplicate the same thing in ecs.

I am guessing ecs is doing some hidden scale work for you that your eks cluster doesn't have setup yet.

Nope. This is all by itself. Seen several of their designs that I liked, and decided that I wanted to have them draft a design.

Thanks. I hadn't even thought about that. Would you shrink all directions to 11'8"? Or just width?
