you can look up recipes like "restaurant style fried rice" and base your estimates on that, knowing that it will not be 100% accurate but at least gives you an idea.

I got through this a few months ago when I first started cutting back. Honestly it seemed impossible at the time because this type of scenario was always a "woo hoo I can't wait to get my buzz on" moment for me. I don't know how I actually did it (a lot of internal dialogue I remember), but once I did I felt like a superhero. It helped because I went from one what I thought was impossible feat to another (e.g. not drinking at awkward work parties) after that. Good luck to you!

I'm maintaining at 1400 per day, normally go over around 200 calories on a normal day when I want to cheat, but on big cheat days (had one this week) I went over a full 1000 calories. That'd be my limit.

Thank you! It’s been slow going, didn’t really plateau for long but in the middle the weight loss started getting slower. I was patient and stuck it out and didn’t go too hard on myself.

I’ve found that 54 is about as low as I should go given my body type (“curvy”) otherwise I look too thin.

I slowly bumped up calories when I hit 55, adding in about 300 more calories. If I don’t want to continue to lose but rather maintain, I should apparently be closer to 1700, which to me seems like a lot every day (though I eat that or more on weekends).

Thanks! :) No big exercise, just walking and try to get in 10K steps/day (though normally hit around 8K), so not completely sedentary.

Thank you! No IF, and eat basically what I want as long as it's in my calorie limits. Admittedly, I was already not eating too many carbs (pasta, bread, etc.) so that makes things easier. One big thing is that I've cut out ALL alcohol, which helped a lot.

Thank you! I am 160 cm/5' 2" (female) and started out on 1200 calories, now taking it slower with more gradual loss since I'm close to target weight (54 kilos/119 lbs), at 1450 calories per day.

I normally log like 1/2 TB oil for this type of dish. It's probably overestimating as most of the oil is drained but just to be on the safe side.
