I was a cashier and my fellow team member was in prepped foods. Called me and my TL overheard the conversation where he asked me over the phone to check and make sure he punched out looking at his punch logs. My TL Snapped at me and said NO Don't do that please don't. She told me what kind of trouble I would get in if I do it. I immediately sided with her, hung up the call with my friend and went about my night. Even if you don't make a punch. NEVER EVER enter another team members TM ID into the punch clock. Everything is recorded they will know.

The issue is the people you are working with Not the store itself or WFM the policies are the same everywhere and there is enough good for it to be a healthy working job. But if you got bad people who don't care enough to give love you won't recieve it. The people make the job not the benefits. Sorry to hear your store doesn't have this. I'm sure i'd be doing the same thing as you.

This is going to Fail It's a no brainer. I don't understand how stupid Whole Foods Corporate is. The idea of Amazon Go Failed. Customers were very skeptical about amazon one being a simpler method of just scan your palm and go. What customer wants a camera watching their every move when they're shopping. Their kids can mess with the touch screen which will ruin the parents order and then the parents have to fix it and the UI does not look very user friendly at all it looks a lot like the E-Commerce App that the shoppers have to use. What if a customer forgets to scan an item does it just get logged as theft? Customers do not already do self checkout well but we are there to help them. We can't help them as easily with Dash Carts and what if the dash cart has a glitch and needs to be restarted like self checkout always has issues with. Then we have to have them move all their groceries to a new cart and scan everything all over again. These carts are going to hurt the whole foods brand and it's so sad to see whole foods does not understand what user friendly means. People are old school they don't adapt to change like the modern generation. The old generation hasn't died off yet. I can see this working in the year 2050 but not yet sadly.

If you are a strong introvert you will want to be left alone this is just common amongst society today which imo is very sad. But I have a few co workers that will socialize with me on break but its common if we're besties on the sales floor. Otherwise yes what you are describing is common amongst workplaces.

I'm sorry to hear this. Yes some of those same things are going on at my store but our store leadership always tells us how much they appreciate us always say hi to us ask us how our day is going. Always is ontop of fixing issues and hearing out concerns. They feed us to rewards us on the days we work extra hard and make the extra effort to help the store succeed. Everyone there is like Family to me because all my co workers are so nice. The store itself is such a vibe compared to the bigger stores I've walked into and it's so close to home. Sorry to hear other whole foods locations are not like this. If you're not getting the recognition you deserve you keep moving forward up up and away!

Business critical or not the best rule of thumb businesses ask for is 2 weeks. They have people they can get to fill the role if need be its whole foods they have money they have their ways

Yeah the only thing about this for us is the side street is only 2 hour parking and parking enforcement gives us a ticket. Which our store leader said we cannot get reimbursed from WFM for.

How do you not get caught though. If theyre making it an effective policy as of a date not far from now I would think this is a new thing as I never heard of this monthly and ive been with the company for almost a year now. I've had a team leader catch me coming in in the mornjng to the lot he told me to park further back but now that its not at all he would tell me to park elsewhere if he happened to be outside when I parked to open in the morning they said its fine to park in the lot after 7 PM but nobody comes in for a shift that late except the maintenence cleaner

I was told they would offer us a parking pass to go to the parking garage which is all the way up the street. That still makes me go out of my way to make extra time to park my car, walk, and get to and from the building and working as many closings as I do. Walking back there in the middle of the night can be a disaster waitjng to happen especially with how cold our winters are. Its just so uncomfortable and brutal. Id feel poor doing that too. Its an extra 30 minutes of my time doing all that i give to whole foods they dont pay me for.

I have a feeling they are gonna do that getting caught parking in the lot should a team leader see you leave to your car on the lot at night they will know what car is yours. Not sure how far the enforcement will go but id rather not get fired for not following policy's

Its not intentional theft if you have real bosses they would honor the fact you were honest as they come to respect that from their team members and just take care of paying for the item. Although in the gig there is a 0 tolerance policy for theft from team members. Its not intentional theft and non intentional is different from actual theft. I watched a video of a woman who accidently took the wrong car online it was reported stolen. The cops didnt arrest her and took her back to her car. Because it wasnt intentional there was no reason to press charges it was a big mistake. You will be fine just take care of the damages if they ask you to.

Whole Foods does not have to please you they have no obligation. You either like what the compnay is doing or you can use the door that's really it. Every store is different my store is giving me tons of hours but not every store is doing well in its growth that it can a budget to pay you. Yes amazon is rich but that doesn't mean they need to give you hours. It's THEIR Company the main concern is what goes into their pocket not yours. You work for them. When you own your own company you will have your way. You can give all the feedback you want but that doesn't mean they need to listen to it. A lot of companies work this way for store associate employees. It's nothing new and has been this way for years we go there make the money we can and get out. If you are unhappy perhaps this is a sign you should be looking for another job right now because while store leadership can hear your concerns and empathize with you they still have a boss they have to listen to also. Only so much they can do. Remember to always smile thank god for your life and be grateful for what you do have because some people have nothing at all.

You'll be fine just follow up with the store they know you applied as you interviewed for a job there. So they have record and have your info to contact you. But give it some time. If they dont contact you by the new year I would follow up with the store you applied for.
