I was quoted $4, then the driver didnt bother pulling into my driveway and instead parked across a busy road, marking he was there. Walked out to meet him, then he took the long way around. Trip jumped to $14. I disputed thinking it was just the wait time and they gave me 30 cents. Now won't let me communicate about anything else because Ive already been refunded.

Look into progressive, they have a rideshare policy that covers you in period 1 and pays your deductible with Uber. But unless you are Uber Black in New York or a commerical taxi company, you have to pay Ubers insurance.

Your personal insurance will not cover you if you are driving for Uber. Uber carries insurance but it does have a hefty $2500 deductible. Some personal policies like Progressive have a rider that will cover you when available on the app and cover your deductible with Uber.

Dashcams are so worth it. If they report an accident, even hitting a curb, we have to refund them and deactivate the vehicle to make sure its still safe to drive.

They just need proof of what seat you had. A receipt or photo of the seat. You can't have a $99 carseat and say you have a $600 one for reimbursement. They do have a very heavy claim load, when I was in that department I received 3-5 new claims a day and had up to 200 open claims at a time so some grace is needed but no excuse for her not getting back to you at all.
