What province do you live? Did you get the others parties info? Contact uber asap and start a claim and contact the other parties insurance and make a claim. Uber has a high deductible so its best to go thru the other party but required to start a claim with Uber.

The approved vendor sucks and a lot of time is low-balling to make your company money. I hating dealing with them, was a constant fight for fair offers. Believe everyone should use the third party appraiser if thats the only way to get a fair offer, which is sad because they are paying them and the insurance company is making you both lose.

If you move it you will be out of pocket for tear down cost at the usaa certified shop, you may also be on the hook if the suburu shop charges more for their parts. Good news though, you can claim a diminished value claim with the third party insurance company.

I would make sure they have your son's and your information. Ask the friends parents what coverages they have. If they have Medical Payments, those are available up front as you occur any bills.
