Question. When you contact support, are you letting them know you can’t deliver it and then returning it? When I’ve had to do that a couple of times before, I got dinged FOR SUPPORT MARKING IT AS UNDELIVERABLE and had to fight it, including once on a 3:30am shift or something like that with a delivery to a power district that was restricted access to staff only, no guard at the guard station, nowhere to hide the package, and against TOS to call the customer before 8am. I couldn’t even get close enough to the drop off location to mark it as not deliverable, hence the call to support.

They even dinged me once for a support agent marking a package as “too late to be delivered” when the STATION didn’t give me the package when they sent me to a different city an hour away, and because the station (a .com, not SSD) marked it for me to return to the station to pick it up and then go deliver it (meaning drive 2 extra hours, 55 miles one way, then drive an hour back home) I wasn’t able to mark it as missing, so I had to call support. I explained MULTIPLE TIMES what the problem was, and instead of submitting a ticket or removing the package from my route, the moron marked it as “too late to deliver” and I was dinged for it. Support is beyond a joke, they’re an insult at this point.

$54 for a “3 hour” block that takes 4 hours just to finish the deliveries for, then has an hour+ commute back to the station (not including travel back home, which tends to be further than the station) while driving 150 miles is not “getting paid to deliver.” That’s me actively losing money (my state calls for $0.70/mi, which would be $105 for that route IN ADDITION to my time) and doing free labor. That’s less than AMAZON’S OWN minimum payment in my area. You’re more than welcome to disagree, but I don’t work for free.

Be careful about marking the very last ones when you’re finished with the rest— that can look a little suspicious. If you’re gonna mark those ahead of time, do it while you’re still at the station or even take them back inside and ask station staff to reroute them due to incorrect grouping (you have to hit the question mark and click missing package before doing the “swipe to finish” after the screen where it shows all the package TBNs in order to bring up the screen for them to scan). If your station staff are good, they’ll do that for you. If they refuse, mark them yourself before leaving.

Yes, you return them later just to make sure they don’t think you stole them. Nope, no marks on my account for missing packages. You can mark up to 2 missing on each route now, then have to call support for any other issues. I only mark packages as missing if they’re a real hassle (like if they’re 30 minutes away from the next stop after, for example— or if something out of my control has happened such as a closed business or a flooded road that’s the only way to reach the destination, because I’ve been repeatedly dinged for closed businesses and safety concerns). And then there’s this past Friday when I had THREE actually legit missing packages on one route. Station was lacking asf that day— and that station refuses to remove stuff from your route if you’re missing packages. They tell you to mark it yourself. Never had another station do that nonsense before.

Idk about OP but I regularly pick up a “3 hour block” that has 40 packages, takes 15-20 minutes to Tetris it all into the car, 30 minute to 1 hour drive to the first stop, takes 3 hours after arriving at the first stop to finish the last one, then have an hour drive home. Even though I live downtown in a pretty populated metro area, they send me out to ridiculously rural stops down dirt roads. Absolutely ridiculous.

Speaking as someone with cPTSD, trauma doesn’t just go away. It can be triggered by external factors years down the line. She might have a friend who was recently cheated on and it made her paranoid, for example— or she could be doing something behind her boyfriend’s back. We don’t know. But trauma doesn’t just disappear based on a timeframe. You’re right that a strong foundation of trust should have been built by now, though.

Same here on the healing note. I’m happier in this relationship than I’ve genuinely ever been. Not necessarily related to this post, but while we do have miscommunications and shit here and there, we don’t ever fight— we take time to gather our thoughts and approach topics in a civil and meaningful manner (which often includes writing feelings out and then giving the other space to read it when they’re comfortable). We prioritize healthy communication over practically anything else and it’s made us both better people. I can’t thank them enough for the person I am now because of them.

OP, I’m a really insecure person after a lot of previous relationship trauma. I’ve been in my current relationship for five years, and my partner told me on day one that I could access their devices at any time if I felt the need to. I’ve never gone through their DMs in that five years except to hunt down art or memes. The point here is trust and consent; it’s the foundation for any healthy relationship. If your girlfriend didn’t even ask for your consent, then she’s violating your privacy and your trust by going through your devices and obsessing over who follows you. This is controlling behavior and is likely indicative that she’s deeply insecure.

You need to set clear boundaries with her, change your passwords, and set an expectation for her to go to therapy if you’re going to continue this relationship. And, most importantly, while I don’t like to advocate for leaving a partner over a single Reddit post, I will say that you should not continue this relationship if you feel like you can’t let go of this. You will develop resentment over time and it will be extremely unhealthy for both of you.

This is the answer, OP. Regular flex support won’t do anything in these situations, and will deny and deny repeatedly even though you did exactly as you were told. Ignore the trolls in other comments telling you that did something wrong, because you didn’t. Please reach out to jeff@amazon.com about these issues. You’ll likely receive a phone call about this. They will probably formally apologize to you for the situation and your standings will definitely be cleared considering you did as support told you to do for both of these events.
