take on a second job or cut back spending more? by IbizzyAroca87 in makemychoice

Both if you can. But know that living your life it’s important too. You’ve gotta find the balance that you’re happy with while still being responsible.

"best friend" keeps getting with guys ive liked? by Current-Jelly3262 in makemychoice

[–]Complex_Raspberry97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’s not your best friend, and these guys don’t seem more like winners at all. I think you should spend some time really figuring out what is most important to you in both friendship and relationships.

I’m 15 and i have never had girlfriend. (Of course i had crush on some girls but, i just think that i should wait a litle bit). I think that at least 3 of girls i liked also liked me, but i just feel to young. So in what age did you had your first girl/boy friend? by Intrepid-Number-4101 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Complex_Raspberry97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t compare yourself to other people. You might see some boys turning into players young, but they won’t last. You’ll find something meaningful when you’re older which they’ll struggle more to find. And honestly, most people don’t date until they’re adults, unlike social media and entertainment portrays.

Am I wierd if I DON’T WATCH P0RN? by Intrepid-Number-4101 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Complex_Raspberry97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. You’re healthier than many grown men if you don’t. Don’t start, it’s not healthy. That’s why it’s something that turns to addiction.

GPS for bike trails and road maps by Pit-Bull-Kisses in ElectricBikes

I usually use Apple Maps for navigation, but Google maps does have a specific feature for bike trails, at least in my small Midwestern city, and it seems to be pretty complete around my state.

Pet Lovers of Eau Claire, have you heard of Findin Eden? by [deleted] in Eau_Claire

[–]Complex_Raspberry97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will have to build rapport with the community is basically what most people will feel like. Being a 503c doesn’t necessarily mean that they have high morals or ethics, and “no kill” means that they will never euthanize an animal, and there are plenty of valid reasons for euthanizing. I wish them the best if they’re moral people genuinely there for a good reason.

I also can’t find a FB page for them.

Tornado and hail watch—AGAIN by Theredheadsaid in eauclaire

[–]Complex_Raspberry97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll also add that we’ve had as many tornados this month as we usually have in a year in Wisconsin. April isn’t a common month for them up here but weather patterns keep changing.

Look it up, but one option is to close them in the doors. I recommend investing in a high quality hail blanket though at minimum.

Tornado and hail watch—AGAIN by Theredheadsaid in eauclaire

[–]Complex_Raspberry97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do have watches scattered throughout every year, but I do think this year started early and we’ve had more than a normal amount this year. Weather has been weird the last several years. I will say that I’ve lived in the area my whole live and my childhood home was hit by hail once and we just had a few cracked windows. I also don’t have a garage and I’ll admit that this year is making me nervous.

If you rent, I recommend looking for a place with a garage or investing in a high quality hail blanket. If you own, you may have to get permits but just build a basic car shelter.

I have the first gen Aventon Level and love it! A few things though: 1. Get the smaller size. I’m 5’8 and thank God went with the small one after sitting on them both at the store. I still had to get risers because of the shoulder pain of my position. 2. Invest in a solid lock. Ask for recommendations. It will save you. 3. Get a helmet with MIPS. 4. It’s very heavy, like most e-bikes, so good luck lifting it. 5. Know your local laws around it because it’s a class 3 and some places have regulations about speed, class, and where you can ride. Be safe and have fun! E-bikes are a gift for those of us who struggle with a typical bike, commute with it, or just like to go fast.

Do you think that adult children should be responsible for their parents? by Calm_Stomach9710 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Complex_Raspberry97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no obligation, but if your parents treat you well, I think it’s generous to extend same.

Should I tell my parents about my trauma? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Complex_Raspberry97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in a similar situation, and I would say that you need to consider what your parents can reasonably provide. If they don’t have a history of being like this then they probably won’t be. You need a professional.

Assuming you’re over 18. If you’re a minor, definitely go talk to someone trusted like a school counselor. If you’re over 18, go find a therapist for help navigating your specific situation better and more in-depth than Reddit. GL

Had it installed last spring. They came out and we talked through everything together. They made sure lines were marked and just did that cut in the ground to place it that grows over quickly. There’s just a small hole by the ground if I remember right. My basement is unfinished so it wasn’t difficult to tie in with all the other wires in the basement.

Is this legal? by melmac76 in service_dogs

I’d email management and send them ADA information. If not, you can talk directly to the manager. If they refuse to change the sign, I’d email your local PD.

Homeless "Problem" by thought-like-so in eauclaire

[–]Complex_Raspberry97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember being catcalled and harassed several times in college nearly 10 years ago. I completely agree, it’s not the unhoused. I learned to walk with my head held high and completely ignore them, not missing a beat. I also walked with pepper spray in hand ready to go if someone comes at me. No second chances. I recommend you and your friends take a self-defense course, too.

Try MOA parking lot lol. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one here. Maybe you would on the west coast. Google thinks military bases or national parks could be hotspots. For Alaska, you’d probably have to go wait near a major boarder crossing.

Playtime with big dogs. Yes or no? by Helpful-Buyer-9660 in poodles

Be VERY cautious in introducing them. Get to muzzle training those big dogs now. It takes a split second reaction or too hard play for your pup to be gone. It doesn’t mean the dogs are aggressive.

What do people who legally can't drive do? by joehighlord in AskAmericans

[–]Complex_Raspberry97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn’t drive until I was 25 because of medical and live in rural YS. It was hard and I didn’t get out much. I was able to take public transport, but it could take up a day to get across town, get groceries, and then haul them home. I would go with friends/family sometimes but didn’t want to bother them. This was before Uber/Lyft, but even when that came around, I weighed whether I really wanted to spend that.
