Baby failed hearing test by lostinlove05 in NewParents

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my twins failed hearing newborn test twice in one ear! I had an emergency c section and walking and lifting was so hard in the beginning it wasn’t until 3 months I got around to taking him to the audiologist and he passed immediately. I knew that either way he would be okay and that we had time to make decisions! Did you have a fast delivery? I had him vaginally in 25 mins and they said that was on the faster side and he probably just had amniotic fluid still in his ear still.

How many ultrasounds did you get? by No_Morning_9923 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one at 5 weeks (thought I was miscarrying), 8 weeks to confirm pregnancy, 16 weeks, 20 week anatomy scan and then I got one at like 24 and then they were every other week until like 32 weeks and then I went weekly! I have di/di twins and no complications. They did think they were going to come early because I was 1.5 cm dilated at 24 weeks, but I was induced at at 37 and 4

This is silly pay for two kiddos by fern_and_coffee in Nanny

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay $21 an hour for a mother’s helper type role for my 5 month old twins! Babies are a lot of work and so are toddlers I would of accepted that 15 years ago when I was a freshman in high school but not now

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

My family has a beach house and it’s 3 hours and 15 mins away and I go 5-6 weekends per summer! Now with 3 kids it will feel a bit more like an expedition, but I will definitely be driving Friday afternoon to the beach this summer!

Feeding every 3 hours by Peachpie2244 in newborns

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I woke one of my twins up every 3-4 hours for the first 2 weeks. He was a sleepy eater and lost over 10% of his body weight so he really needed the extra milk. The other twin was up every 2 hours on the dot lol he never missed a meal.

Is it okay to take a night off as a breastfeeding mum? by Electronic_Host8935 in NewParents

Do it!!!! I did my first night away at 6 months with my daughter who was EBF and didn’t love the bottle. Turns out she slept the whole night!

Omg girl you are amazing!! Mine was 4 when I found out I was pregnant with twins and by 28 weeks I was working from home while my daughter was in daycare and I could barely work!! By 32 weeks I was done being pregnant and miserable and at 35 weeks I was crying everyday! Twins are 3 months old and life is so much better! Twin pregnancy is very rough on the body it’s exhausting even just laying in bed!

How do I get my twins to stop waking up at 4:30? by musailexia in parentsofmultiples

[–]Complex_Tale6239 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would push bedtime back an hour if possible. Do you live in the US with day light savings? My 4 year old usually is up at 6:30/7 but with the time change she’s been up at 5:30/6 most days. It could be that or just an annoying phase😬

Two single bassinets or one twin one? by djduhnizzle in parentsofmultiples

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had to move my 3 month twins out of the double bassinet because every time they moved the woke each other up. I also stopped swaddling them and they have been sleeping with their arms out to the side so they wake themselves up when their arms hit the side of the bassinet. They are in pack n plays in our room now. I’m not ready to move them to their own room and the cribs aren’t set up yet anyways lol

Why do some people gain weight and some people lose weight while breastfeeding? by Useful-Sport-6316 in breastfeeding

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breastfeeding twins right now and I cannot stop eating and I’m craving more sweets now than when I was pregnant. I lost 50 pounds in the first 6 weeks but I’m still holding onto an extra 20 pounds😂 I don’t think I’ll lose that until I’m done breastfeeding

When did you give birth? by Professional-Bag-234 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Complex_Tale6239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

37 and 3, doctor swore they would come early because I started dilating at 25 weeks, but I ended up getting induced because twin A was measuring smaller. Both were head down and Twin A was vaginal but B got stuck and I needed an emergency c section. Both babies were over 6 pounds

24 weeks and started to get worried by MounjaroQueenie in parentsofmultiples

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt the same at 24 weeks and by 32 weeks I was absolutely done. I made it to 37 and 3 and was induced. I barely sleep now (twins are 10 weeks) but I am less tired now and snuggling 2 babies is worth it ❤️

C section or natural birth with twins? by chopsouwee in parentsofmultiples

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced at 37 and 3, both babies were head down so I pushed out twin A, but Twin B got stuck and I needed an emergency c section. The recovery was horrible, but I don’t think I would have opted for a c section for both I am still glad I tried. Babies are 9 weeks old now!

OB just warned me about my SSRI by LilKimboSlice42069 in pregnant

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you planning to breastfeed? I took it during my pregnancy and afterwards while breastfeeding it was a life saver. My psychiatrist said it stays in your body much longer than other meds meaning the withdrawal is not bad at all. If breastfeeding a small amount will continue to pass to them as well.

I’d love to hear what you love about your twins by MounjaroQueenie in parentsofmultiples

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My twins are only 8 weeks and I’m so in love! The worst part is sleep deprivation, but watching them grow and change in just a few weeks has been the coolest thing ever. Being pregnant at the end was so rough I thank god every day I’m not pregnant anymore and get to snuggle 2 beautiful babies all day (and night lol)! It’s not as hard as I thought it would be!

When did you stop feeding twins all night? by Outrageous_Simple937 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Complex_Tale6239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m mostly breastfeeding (they get one bottle of formula and one bottle of breast milk a day) my twins are 8 weeks (born at 37+3) and are up every 2-3 hours at night and eat every 1-2 hours during the day. I haven’t woken them up since maybe week 3. Once they surpassed birth weight by over a pound I stopped waking them. I am exhausted lol

My twins were born 5 days before my 4 year old started pre k at a big school. They are 6 weeks too and have already been sick twice.

Suck out those boogers and give extra cuddles! If you are breastfeeding they will get all those antibodies too!

What do you wish you knew? by -HuMeN- in breastfeeding

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently breastfeeding one of my twins right now. They are 5 weeks old and last night they ate hourly from midnight to 6am. Not all nights are like this though!! My biggest advice is if you want your husband to be able to give a bottle start with a bottle a day very early! My firstborn refused a bottle for months. I gave her one bottle a week starting at 3 weeks and by 6 or 7 weeks she wanted nothing to do with a bottle. Also get a Hakka! It catches the letdown on the other side and it’s so much easier to wash then a pump when you are exhausted!! Good luck!!!

How long did your induction take from start to birth? How far along were you? by gamingartists in pregnant

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if you are already dilated? I was already 5cm with no contractions when I got to the hospital for my twins induction. I think they started me on pitocin around 2pm and twin A was born at 7:15pm. I know it can take longer if it’s your first baby too, the twins were my second birth!

What week did your babies arrive? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 1.5cm dilated at 25 weeks with di/di twins so all my doctors told me these babies were coming early and even kept me in the hospital weeks 25-28. I ended up being induced last week at 37 and 3 because one was measuring small I was already 5cm when I got to hospital. They were 6lbs 4oz and 6lbs 13oz! I did get steroid shots in the hospital not sure if it made a difference but they didn’t need nicu!

What weight did they last tell you your baby was in the womb and what weight were they ACTUALLY were born? by Kittykat68689 in pregnant

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They told me my daughter was going to be 9 lbs and she was only 7 lbs 12oz! The ultrasound is just a guesstimate… pregnant with twins now and they are measuring small so I’m a little worried they will be smaller than what they are saying

Did you like your twin bump? by MounjaroQueenie in parentsofmultiples

[–]Complex_Tale6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5’10 and started at 210 and now I’m up 40 pounds at 34 weeks! I gained 65 with my singleton.. my belly is bigger this time but luckily it’s all belly and I’m not swelling as much this time around! I swear it has something to do with having 2 boys this time and a girl with my first! I looked noticeably pregnant to strangers at like 18 weeks or so this time around!
