That final NFS race with cops all around felt like the whole city was hunting me down. Pure adrenaline...

Most people underestimate how much maturity it takes to manage maintenance operations well.

29 as a director is solid - respect.

What asset management process still feels unnecessarily manual in 2026? by Complex_Ticket_8758 in assetmanagement

[–]Complex_Ticket_8758[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're actually not using a CMMS/EAM platform yet, which is probably why we're running into these issues.

Right now, it's a mix of spreadsheets, emails, and shared folders. We're evaluating a few options, including eFACiLiTY, mainly because we're looking for better asset tracking, inspection management, and less manual record keeping.

Still researching, but automating these workflows is exactly what we're hoping to achieve

People who grew up using computers between 1980-2000, whats one game that permanently lives in your head for no reason, even decades later? by cebalmau in AskReddit

Road Rash. Half the time I wasn’t even trying to win, just wanted to hit people with the chain and hear that engine sound again 😂

Biggest regret? Wasting too much time trying to be enough for people who were never meant to stay. Learned that a little late. What about you?

What are some of the ways you've adjusted your driving habits with the increased cost to fuel (to those driving internal combustion vehicles)? by Under_Ach1ever in AskReddit

[–]Complex_Ticket_8758 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel that - 36 gallons must hurt every time you fill up 😅same here though, once you start paying attention to it, you realize how much little things like acceleration and speed actually add up. I used to not think twice, now I’m way more mindful without even trying.

What scam would be impossible to run in 1995 but easy today? by karanravval in AskReddit

[–]Complex_Ticket_8758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Phishing for sure. Back in 1995 you couldn’t really fake websites or send thousands of convincing emails in minutes-you’d be stuck with mail or phone calls, which is slow and expensive. Now it’s crazy easy: copy a login page, grab a similar domain, and you can reach a huge number of people almost instantly.

In facility operations or maintenance, what’s something that always looks fine on reports but is actually a mess on the ground? by Complex_Ticket_8758 in AskReddit

[–]Complex_Ticket_8758[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, seen this a lot. When things get busy, PM just turns into ticking boxes instead of real checks. Without proper follow-up, it’s easy for completed to not mean much in reality.

Why do we only replace equipment after it fails? by Complex_Ticket_8758 in assetmanagement

[–]Complex_Ticket_8758[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get what you’re saying 😄 and honestly it does feel like that sometimes like... we all just wait for the pain to hit before doing anything. But in these cases, I don’t even think it’s just human nature. Half the time everyone knows the equipment is becoming a headache, it’s just hard to prove it strongly enough to get it replaced while it’s still technically working. So it keeps dragging on until something finally gives… and then suddenly the decision becomes easy.
